Just one of many ways the sport will be less enjoyable  for future fans.

Even while at Tennessee he…

Even while at Tennessee he spoke well about Michigan and said he always rooted for them. Don't think there is any reason for all the animosity toward him.

Frequently UDFs have a better chance of making it than 6th & 7th round guys . They get to talk to a number of teams and decide to go to the one where they think they have the best chance.

I think Rugby 7s requires the best athletes of any sport. They have to be fast, able to withstand hard impact, have excellent cardio,  have upper body strength, lower body/leg  strength, agility,  quickness, toughness,  ability to play through pain and injuries...everything!

He had a good year. He was probably worth his NIL:

Points per game17.9. Field Goal %54.8. 3PT Field Goal %35.4. Free Throw %62.4. Rebounds per Game10.9. Assists per game2.3. Steals per Game0.9. Blocks per game1.4.

Thanks! I'm not completely sure it was worth it. Even a late 3rd round pick can yield a pretty good player.

I was kind of hoping Darius Robinson would go to the Lions.

I've been waiting to hear that too. I hope it wasn't much.

Its unfortunate for Michigan…

Its unfortunate for Michigan fans' rooting interests but it's the best place for him to have a successful career.

Rats! I didn't get a chance to read this until way too late.

Agree with that as far as we can see now. But I wouldn't rule out Tuttle if he recovers fully.

Now that I look at my post I see that it wasn't worded very well.  I was mostly agreeing with you but thought Mao deserved  a mention.

There are 4 horrifically…

There are 4 horrifically evil individuals that were actually able to separate themselves above the others..

Of course, Hitler.

Mao is responsible for killing 40 to 100 million of his own people and encouraged horrific public torture. (It is hard to know how many of their people totalitarian  governments killed because they are in complete control of all communication and record keeping.) There is some evidence that he enjoyed watching torture and may even have designed new torture methods.

Stalin is probably responsible for the deaths of 6 to 40 million  people in Russian. (See comments in Mao regarding the difficulty of obtaining accurate estimates involving totalitarian governments). Many more in Eastern Europe.

Pol Pot can't match the raw numbers of the other top 4 but earns his place by the  percentage he achieved. After taking power he ordered about about a quarter (possibly more) of Cambodia's population to be taken and killed.  Many were also tortured and raped.

There are 4 horrifically…

Sorry, double click.

That's a point that others…

That's a point that others aren't mentioning . He seems to be in the midst of a growth. Possibly  even n the early stages.

I don't think I can agree…

I don't think I can agree with you. Based on how the returners performed last year we can be confident that they are an elite defense. If the offense can play well against them we've got solid grounds believe that Michigan will be a national title contender again this year. (Especially since they are will be playing several back-ups in this game!)

Considering how much he is…

Considering how much he is going out of his way to badmouth Michigan through the years, I am not inclined to cut him a break.

Arrogant bureaucrats who have never held a job where anyone can tell if they do a good job or a bad job. They spend most of their time trying to convince people they are important.

If i recall correctly, there was a violation related to analysts performing what the NCAA considered to be coaching.

Unions are important and, especially if they are run by intelligent and reasoning people, very valuable. But you might have jumped the rail and wandered off into Mr. Marx's field.

It still seems like Jones should have stayed this year. Is it possible that he thought he couldn't win a spot over Hinton/Gentry/Persi? (That doesn't seem likely either..)

I read where some…

I read where some researchers had arranged to have a lot of people observe animal behavior during the totality and then make reports on their observations. I hope the results will be publicized.

The words used to describe it are fine but the emoji leaves a different perception.

It actually makes sense. At…

It actually makes sense. At it's core, it is an individual sport.

Transfers from sports that are, in essence, team sports (like football) have to build a feel for team mates - how they react under various circumstances - and learn a whole different system when they transfer. That is not an issue with wrestling.

it seems like the sad sack…

it seems like the sad sack emoji is a little insulting to guys that have been working their tails off for years. just an impression.

This year we could have…

This year we could have definitely used 4 easy games to let the rebuilt offense settle in before we hit the tough stretch.

Very sad indeed. So absurd…

Very sad indeed. So absurd it almost is laughable

You're right about that but…

You're right about that but I think the best we can do is retain consistency and hope that he was also a good teacher to his staff and they are able to continue his program at a high level.

He looked decent when we saw…

He looked decent when we saw him play last year and with another year in the system should be better this year.

He was a balanced threat: reasonably good passing and reasonably effective using his legs. At the least he should be an average Big/SEC level quarterback - very possibly better than average. I'm not sure any of the other candidates are ready to contribute at that level.

There's a good chance that if the line and running game are able to operate at a high level Tuttle will be able to help Michigan take advantage of any weakness in an opponents defense.

We'll just have to hope that…

We'll just have to hope that he trained his staff well in his ideas and methods.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Yeah. This might be guesses…

Yeah. This might be guesses based solely on their measurable performance levels But there was a lot of talk about the teams being impressed by how team oriented, well coached and professional the Michigan player were and how well they understood the game. That might well help get the lower rated guys a round bump.

He is very good at both blocking and receiving. It's hard to believe he won't get drafted before the 7th round. Probably before the 6th.

In a similar genre, I saw a couple Beverly Hillbillies shows recently. They actually are pretty funny.

Early last year, on impulse,…

Early last year, on impulse, I compared the starting offense rosters of Michigan and Georgia. Only one on Georgia's roster was not a top 100. And most of them were around top 50. There was only one top 100 recruit on Michigan's O roster.

That was definitely a…

That was definitely a surprise to me too.

Did not know that. Thanks for the info.

It doesn't look like he has…

It doesn't look like he has any related off field experience. l looked at a few sites (including Wikipedia) and none mentioned anything after his last pro on field season (2021). He's supposed to have a great personality and probably will make rapid progress  but it's hard to believe that he could be expected to go straight to such a high position. Of course, if they let Scruggs go we'll have a real problem finding a top quality line coach at this time.

His performance in that game…

His performance in that game was incredible.

I have to agree. Even if there is a system/structure to fairly administer the actual pay, big money backers will still be able to tip the scale in favor of their school.

And there is at least a chance that he could improve, have a good year, and raise his chances of getting a shot at the NFL.
