Klein made two great catches…

Klein made two great catches in the 4th quarter drive. I was very impressed with #17. We should see a lot more him come fall and the new season.

If they blitz a lot more…

If they blitz a lot more this year then they either better get home for the sack or be VERY disruptive and blow up the play. I don't want to see shades of Don Brown and I have confidence that Wink will not turn out to be another Brown. Minter proved that it's not all on the edge rushers to get the job done on blitzes.

Our man Charles Woodson…

Our man Charles Woodson added great commentary. He wasn't trying to overly funny or cute. I liked his insight and he added a lot to the broadcast team.

Gotta love that belt! It seemed that would have just made all of the buckeye fans watching this game just blow there minds. It was a very subtle in-your-face to buckeye nation.

I saw the limp and I am not…

I saw the limp and I am not expert.

Agreed, but Fall 2024, this…

Agreed, but Fall 2024, this team should have a MONSTER defense. To your point, they can't spend most of the game out on the field. Perhaps, the Michigan run game will keep the TOP more in our favor as they will need to move the sticks. Donovan will be the key but also will need to see him get some catches as well.

Hopefully, it's only a soft…

Hopefully, it's only a soft tissue injury.  Hard to say what happened.

We definitely saw a clue to…

We definitely saw a clue to what the offensive play book will be this fall; run first. Looks like we'll have a good TE besides Loveland and this is Klein #17. Like last year, there will be need to throw the ball in critical moments and am not sure that they can pull that off like they did last year.

Orji had his moments. Am a…

Orji had his moments. Am a little concerned of the hitch in his stride he had as he went into the End Zone on that last possession. Warren made some key throws for TDs to put the Maize team ahead. WR: Not as bad as it seems. How about Kendrick Bell getting a TD pass in the EZ. Great throw and good catch. Didn't know that there is a young Chesson in there at WR. Both Bell and Chesson are very young but can play when needed. RB are solid. Good depth with Dono, who looked great in his one series and Mullings was OK. I like Hall and Dunlap in the #3, #4 slots.

The defense on both the Maize and Blue teams were very good. Looks like we're fine there. Will Johnson didn't need to play.

The Freshman QB Jadyn Davis will grow and showed some poise. Hard to say who is QB1, probably Orji. He had to contend with a good defense. He did not make any dumb mistakes. He could have run more but Kirk Campbell opted not to temp fate.

It's the Spring Game curse.

It's the Spring Game curse.

You'd think that the city of…

You'd think that the city of A2 does not want to have Michigan into the city. Lots of revenue to be lost, especially closing the A2 Pioneer lot. Seems like the unwelcome sign is out.

Make that they know the do's…

Make sure that they know the do's and don'ts: No drinking and driving.

The chance that the NCAA…

The chance that the NCAA could, might be or willing to suspend Jim for an entire season IMO.

Jim had three good reasons…

Jim had three good reasons for leaving Michigan to the NFL. Not in any order, the lack of total support from Warde , the NCAA suspension risk (very high chance) and his itch to return to the NFL.

The win over OSU in 2021 in…

The win over OSU in 2021 in the snow oat Michigan Stadium. It put the program on a new trajectory. I'd put the Rose Bowl come from behind win over 'Bama a close second and then the win over U-Washington to win the National Title and go 15-0.

JJ was close to money on 3rd…

JJ was close to money on 3rd down plays. He made good things happen. JJ is also a master at broken plays and can improvise very well. He has great leadership skills. For those reasons alone makes him a Top 5 pick and 2nd QB after Caleb Williams.

One trusted source I heard…

One trusted source I heard from and discussed that this issue with Warde made Jim more willing to leave for the NFL after the season ended. The word was that Jim really wanted to finish his career at Michigan as his first choice. You might say Ward being so willing to capitulate to the NCAA and even to Petitti was a tipping point for Harbaugh to leave Michigan.

WTF! Very sad and sorry to…

WTF! Very sad and sorry to hear that this was about Denard. Didn't he get the memo after the Scruggs incident? I really hope that Denard willl get to keep his job after he goes through some serious treatment. I don't like one and done type indicents like these. Hopefully, unlike Scruggs, Denard does not have a history of drinking to excess. BTW: 3AM is not time to be out on the roads after drinking then driving.

Am planning to go. I'll be…

Am planning to go. I'll be checking with my tailgate buddies to see if they are going in a few days. It does look like jacket weather as opposed to shorts and a t-shirt (Maize and Blue of course). It will be a matter of how much cloudiness and wind we'll have on Saturday.

Hopefully, we'll see more than 50,000 fans show up this year.

I understand and get…

I understand and get concerning Warde with his appeasement attitude to the investigators. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth that Warde would do this and not defend any member of his staff. Jim indeed was pissed about that firing and likely helped Partridge get an assistant position in Seattle with Mike Mac Donald. Am happy that Chris is back in football and with the NFL, he deserves it.

I think that there are some…

I think that there are some media insiders, ie J U Bacon and other that know the real truth behind Mike Hart leaving the football program.

BTW, I's love to get the truth about the PI firm, who hired them and was this all initiated by Blackbeard Ryan Day.

Question 2 is the burning…

Question 2 is the burning issue IMO. Mike Hart has not landed a new position at another college nor moving to the NFL. I will not speculate but there has been no mention of him since the announcement that he left the Michigan program.

Another question is- was it necessary to fire Chris Partridge last November? I heard the reasoning and IMO, is should not have warranted a dismissal.

Indeed, but the total…

Indeed, but the total eclipse was a double wammy for them. Perhaps hundreds of thousands of Michigan fans descended down to the buckeye state for this big event.

I also went down to Toledo…

I also went down to Toledo with a few friends to view the total eclipse. We took the side roads and was in no hurry. I was hearing radio traffic reports on how backed up US 23 south became as soon as 10 AM. We left A2 before 12:30 PM and arrived in the heart of Toledo after 2:30.

It was awesome to view totality. I did notice the sky looking north was not as dark while l looking south, it was darker. That was due to the fact the sky to the north was out of the totality zone. The sky to the south was deeper in the zone.

We did take US23 north after the eclipse ended and headed back about 10 min after totality. A 50 min trip took about 100 min because traffic was stop and go almost up to A2. Yep, traffic was easily 5X or more larger than any OH State game in A2.

Traffic remained stop and go northbound US 23 until almost 6PM from the ON border according to radio traffic reports. We talked to a few folks that came down from the Saginaw area. Needless to say, several hundred thousand vehicles with many passengers came down from MI into OH to view the total eclipse.

Some folks just don't get it…

Some folks just don't get it, oh well. To each, their own.

There's a Walmart parking…

There's a Walmart parking lot right off exit 159. Am thinking that will be a good spot with available parking spots. It is on the SE side of the clover leaf exit.

The Saturday afternoon…

The Saturday afternoon weather forecasts are improving with less cloudiness over NW OH including Bowling Green and Findlay from 1 to 4 PM.

As for traffic, it depends on where to go. I suspect I-75 at the Bowling Green exits will be busy, with BGSU right there. Hopefully, not so much down in Findlay. It's not like everyone is going to Michigan Stadium for an Ohio State game. There will be plenty of areas within the 100% totality zone in NW OH to get a good view. I may be wrong about about the traffic flow but will agree that it will be heavy anytime after 12 noon heading south from Michigan.

It's always great to get the…

It's always great to get the full picture. Credit Juwan for being very open and honest and will to discuss the various topics.

I hope Juwan's second surgery will go very well for him. (As was mentioned on WTKA this morning)

Bonnie Tholl is getting this…

Bonnie Tholl is getting this team in gear. Keep winning!

Love or hate Denny McClain,…

Love or hate Denny McClain, he still won 31 games in 1968. He wasn't the darling of the 1968 World Series as Mickey Lolich was. Let's also give kudos to Bob Gibson in that World Series vs St Louis.

Given how today's pitching rotation works in MLB today, it has become extremely difficult for a starting pitcher to win 20 games in a season.

McClain had the magic in that 1968 season. One that I'll never forget.

Definitely the lesser of the…

Definitely the lesser of the two evils but the Illni hate Michigan almost as much as the buckeyes or sparty does. At least they made to the Elite 8 this year.

Brian and Seth were away so…

Brian and Seth were away so Craig Ross was the only member on the roundtable, yesterday. Seth is in France. Sam disclosed their absence when the roundtable segment opened. That is the reason why there has been no MGoBlog Roundtable posted.

After what Ryan Day…

After what Ryan Day attempted to sabotage the M football program with the whole signgate allegation, Jim will never forget. Jim picked a great venue to discredit Ryan Day and the buckeyes.

Let's rearrange the deck…

Let's rearrange the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic. Oh, by the way, have the band play on the main deck.

It's very difficult to see what this MBB did right vs what they wrong this season but Warde and Juwan managed to find a few things that they can build on.

The buck stops with Juwan.

The buck stops with Juwan.

He'll be able to recruit out…

He'll be able to recruit out of Ohio. The Buckeyes no longer lock down their state.

Good comparison especially…

Good comparison especially about Greg Mattison jumping ship to head to C-Bus.

I wish Alford all the best up here.

Best wishes to Mike and his…

Best wishes to Mike and his family and that he will be fine going forward. This is a big loss for the program but it too will be OK.

This has gone beyond…

This has gone beyond hopeless. It looks like the players have packed it in for the season. Juwan should not have to prepare his team for every game. The players should be up for these games. They should also be watching film on their own to self prepare.

Maybe the big donors will also force Warde into making sweeping changes to the MBB program. I also hope Santa Ono is paying attention.

Juwan will land on his feet and likely head back to the NBA. A totally new coaching staff is needed and then Sanderson can return and do his strength and conditioning thing.

Look how well Michigan…

Look how well Michigan football fans traveled this past season. Our fans took over Spartan Stadium as well as at Maryland and then went on to Indy, the Rose Bowl and Houston. So, yes, they do not like to watch a bad product. They also traveled well when the MBB program were conference and national contenders.

The NIL money train will…

The NIL money train will eventually become unsustainable. It's a matter of time and unlikely that it can go on for more than a few more years.

Great news for Chris! He…

Great news for Chris! He deserves to be coaching again. Best wishes to him.

All we know at this time is…

All we know at this time is that Mike Hart will not be with the Chargers. It appears that Mike has had an extended leave of absence so I hope that he is doing well and will return soon.

Good point when comparing…

Good point when comparing Michigan to other B1G teams, especially Northwestern as they pride themselves as a high standard academic university.

This Michigan BB program under Juwan has been trending down for the past two seasons and the bottom has fallen out for this year.

To be fair, I like Juwan but a change needs to be made in the offseason.

Just when you think things…

Just when you think things can't get any worse concerning this MBB program; it does!

What's amazing is Sparty could only muster a 10-0 run during that time. Given the 22 turnovers by Michigan, Sparty scored 73 points for the entire game.

The season can't end soon enough.

Mike Hart is the big…

Mike Hart is the big question mark. Mums, the word. I would love to have him stay on the staff. One has to wonder about his relationship with Sherrone, I assume it's very good. Hopefully, the Mike Hart mystery will be resolved in a few days.

It's about culture, culture,…

It's about culture, culture, culture! Questions on a new starting QB is legit. With Donovan and Mullings returning, we are set there. WR & TE positions are looking good. A new OL is a wild card and it will take until the latter half of the season to gel.

Yes, the defense will keep this team in the tougher games. This new defensive coaching staff will also need to gel.

I have the same view. That's…

I have the same view. That's a lot of high quality players to lose in one year. I wish all of them well.

Most track races at the…

Most track races at the collegiate as well as high school are run in metric. The tracks are now 400M or 200M for quite a while now. The Mile Run has endured. The 1500M and even 1600M events are also run. Everything else is metric, ie 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M and 3000M races.

I'll have to wait for Sam…

I'll have to wait for Sam Webb's comments on Monday regarding this (since I don't follow the 24/7 website). Meanwhile, as many heard on WTKA on Friday that the Wink Martindale hire was a home run. Everybody was yupping it up on how this was the best hire but Clink didn't think so.

Losing Clink is a tough pill to swallow. There's more going on Schembechler Hall than meets the eye. The optics are getting worse. I still wonder about Mike Hart. As for players leaving, we can only hope for the best. The offseason drama at Michigan never lets up.

The football drama never…

The football drama never ends at Michigan. The sky is falling for those who think Michigan will repeat with another 15-0 season. Granted, this off-season has reached new heights given Jim's departure and the flux that follows.

For me, I'll be very happy with a 10-2 regular season in 2024 and will even call 9-3 as good. Best to set the bar low for next season which will be easier to exceed.
