I would just like to say it is very refreshing to be reading positive comments about the team and the coach and players instead of all the negative comments. That is all.
I was 8 or 9 yrs old. My father was a high school coach and took me and my two brothers to Ann Arbor for a coaches banquet. at the banquet I was introduced to and shook Bo's hand (he was actually shaking everybody's hand so I stuck mine out there). I continued to watch him as he walked out to the hallway and started talking to one of the largest human beings I had ever seen. I am guessing it was an OL recruit. After the banquet I got to go to the Big House where I felt artificial turf for the first time. One of those days I will never forget.
I KNEW IT !! Everybody is going along just fine with these great dog stories and WHAMO! A god damn cat story. It was bound to happen. It always does. Cats just have to be involved somehow.
I am very sorry to thread jack but didn't want to start a new one for this. Does anyone remember a running back for Michigan named Mike Cade? I think he was here for only one year in the late 70's or early 80's. He is from Arizona. I am trying to find some information of him. Thanks.
I just don't think you are giving Harbaugh enough credit. Harbaugh is a smart guy. He knows when something is broken. He fixed the defense with DB. He fixed the special teams and kicking game. I am pretty sure you are going to see a new OC pretty soon because a certain someone on here has already dropped a few hints. One of these years the stars are going to align and Harbaugh is going to get everything right.
Dammit, now you have me doubting myself. I was in the 7th grade! I grew up thinking I was playing in the waves that day. But November is pretty late in the year. Maybe I am wrong.
Melanin, I am assuming you are swimming in Superior. Lake Michigan stays a few degrees warmer for awhile. I think it's around 55-58 around Nov. 1. Still cold for sure but 30 years ago we were swimming fools.
You bet. as a kid, we couldnt wait until October and November because that is when the big waves came. Yes the air was freezing but suprisingly, the water was still bearable.
I read the coast guard report on the sinking and there are two theories. The Fitz scraped the bottom when it came too close to a shoal and started taking on water. She eventually took a nose dive all the way to the bottom. The second theory is she was hit by a rogue wave and broke in half on the surface. I don't know if anybody ever settled on one theory.
Sorry to hijack a thread but it looks like the mainstream media is starting to pick up on the bad medical treatment Speight received after his injury. Sounds like Speights parents are really blasting Purdue. Great job Speights!!

I noticed a big difference with the game being on BTN. Commercial breaks were not as long or as frequent.
