Tim Banks, the co-DC at Penn State, has some very interesting new follows.

Tim Banks was born in Detroit and played at Central Michigan. He's currently the co-DC at Penn State. His newest Twitter follows caught my attention.

CP’s recruiting was from his Jersey connections from when he was a HC. I’m not sure how many kids he currently knows and Schiano wasn’t there when CP was pulling 5*s from NJ.

It will be very hard for CP to continue recruiting like he did ~2 years ago.

So much talk about Partridge, what about the Ole Miss OC Jeff Lebby who's lighting things up in the SEC West with inferior talent (including 48 against Bama).  Also Kendal Briles at Arkansas.  I like guys who are getting the most from lesser talent.

Ole Miss' offense has plenty of talent. Kiffin promised in the spring there would be lots of scoring. Rich Rod was the OC last year and he gashed LSU more than anybody, including Tua & Bama.

The interesting part is that Kiffin's offense is completely different and they benched RR's QB because he wasn't the right fit.

Hopefully, it is just to take over for Shoop? That would be ok.

He's around a top 50ish recruiter each of the last 2 seasons and taking him from Penn State would take away their pipeline they developed in Michigan and may help us with the Belleville kids and others in Detroit that we've struggled to bring in recently.

If he's a co-DC/Safeties coach with Mason as the other co-DC and play caller then I think it would be fine.

That’s not how his newest twitter follows are displayed—Gattis and Webb are at the top, then Dudek is a bit farther down the list.

Banks follows over 1500 people, including players and coaches from teams all over the country, including other recruiting coordinators. He follows a number of UM players, but he also follows several players from OSU. I would guess he follows all these people because he’s heavily involved in recruiting, not because he’s coming here to coach.

Just discovered something odd—when I initially checked out Banks's twitter followings, I was on my phone, and the newest follows were fairly different from your screen grab.

However, I just checked who he's following on my laptop, and it's the same as your screen grab. Why mobile and laptop would be showing significantly different things I have no clue.

I'm still skeptical who he's following is indicative of an impending move to Michigan, but it will be interesting to keep track of this. If nothing else, looks like he's a pretty good recruiter and having a Detroit guy on staff would be a plus.
