We might set a program record for night games played this season.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
Especially when you add in the BTCG and 2 playoff games.

And from TwiXtter:
Big Ten kickoff times and TV for Nov. 4 (ET):
— FBSchedules.com (@FBSchedules) October 23, 2023
Nebraska at Michigan St. - 12pm, FS1
Ohio State at Rutgers - 12pm, CBS
Wisconsin at Indiana - 12pm, BTN
Iowa vs Northwestern (Chicago) - 3:30pm, Peacock
Penn St. at Maryland - 3:30pm, FOX
Illinois at Minnesota - 3:30pm, BTN
Purdue at… pic.twitter.com/vDddJWY1KP
...@Michigan 7:30pm, NBC/Peacock
Not that it matters a whole lot to most here, but the TV networks have the entire Big 12 schedule for the Nov 12 weekend on a 6-day hold.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:15 PM ^
Ryan Day's fault we are playing at night.
At night it is harder for Michigan's vast conspiratorial network to steal signals.
What's next from the NCAA? A RICO complaint?
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:54 PM ^
Why would anyone plan this around a team that can't seem to follow the rules when you can just throw a stone and hit the next virtuous team instead. Right?
Amongst the top 25 who are the best examples?
October 23rd, 2023 at 1:29 PM ^
I have to assume this is a function of how many networks the Big Ten is on now, right? CBS, NBC, Fox, BTN, FS1, Peacock. All of them will want Michigan in Prime Time, so we should probably get used to it, unfortunately.
October 23rd, 2023 at 1:47 PM ^
I understand the networks wanting Michigan in prime time, but what a crappy game to put in that time slot. Just as lopsided as the MSU game and no rivalry angle to play up. The quality of this matchup deserves a nooner on BTN.

Get a little action in.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
FFS.
Makin' that prime time money. Good thing there is absolutely nothing to do in WL so the players meditate until they get on the bus.
EDIT: yeah, I'm an idiot. I'll take my L.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
Purdue is a home game.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:26 AM ^
Meditate on why they drove all the way to West Lafayette for a home game?
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:27 AM ^
But they will have the time to bus there and back and still make kickoff.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:56 AM ^
To steal Purdue's signs, obviously.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:49 AM ^
I'm going to this game, and I'm driving to Michigan to do it. I hope I won't be surprised when I wake up Saturday morning...
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:45 PM ^
As a husband to a Boilermaker wife, I have to point out Purdue's "Breakfast Club" would most certainly be a distraction :)
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:24 AM ^
I came just to post one "fuck", but you nailed it.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
Same. I hate night games in OCT and now NOV.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:51 AM ^
I'll second that! No need for this but it's the price we pay for having such a great football team.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
Not a fan of night games.
But, I guess since we spent all that money on those fancy lights, we might as well use them.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:50 AM ^
Last one out turns off the lights.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:08 PM ^
The lights get used for 3:30 games, too, and even noon games when it's cloudy/rainy (as against IU).
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
I don't like 3:30 games either.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:11 AM ^
FFS. Hate waiting all day for a night game against meh competition.
If was a necessary home field advantage against a PSU level opponent or better, cool.
That said, will take this over having the PSU away game a night game white out anytime.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:14 AM ^
Ugh, I fly out to Mexico for work the next morning. Might have 2 for sale.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:20 AM ^
For Purdue? What seats and how much?
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:29 AM ^
Have to be the face value. Section 39, row 87.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
Hey seat neighbor.
Section 39 row 83

i am so sick of night games
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
That's turrible
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
Parents / Family Weekend - Night game - November.
It would be fine - perhaps even welcome - in September or early October. My guess is - it's going to be a bit chilly the evening of Saturday November 4th. The current weather outlook is - a midday high in the mid 40's with overnight lows in the high 30's. I just hope it's not too windy.
Go Blue!
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:53 AM ^
As long as there is no rain or snow.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
At least it's daylight savings that night, which will help with my old man sleep needs
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:54 AM ^
Yes, I can use the extra hour of sleep.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
Just means that TV networks love Michigan.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
Confirmed where? I still see TBD.

Game Time Announcement

We'll kick off at 7:30 against Purdue on Nov. 4 at the Big House.#GoBlue pic.twitter.com/mhQxljalOW
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
If you're tailgating the Purdue night game, its a great college slate if you have a TV:
Georgia vs. Missouri
USC vs. Washington
LSU vs. Alabama
Maryland vs. Penn State
Clemson vs. Notre Dame
Texas vs. Kansas State
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:17 PM ^
Unfortunately some of those games will be the same time as the UM game.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
Truly ridiculous.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
I am guessing the timeslots of games are approved by both school's ADs? If so, then Warde is getting annoying with all these night game approvals.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:30 AM ^
Your guess would be wrong.
At a certain point in the season, night games require approval from both schools, but we are not at that point yet. Starting with the TV contract for the 2017 season (that started including FOX networks), I believe that threshold was the second weekend of November and/or the third-to-last game of the regular season.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:11 PM ^
Clearly trying to amortize the cost of the fancy new lights as quickly as possible.
