This message is for our Kickstarter backers. As I said last week distribution via mail of the print copies is going to be a nightmare. They're all printed and we're in the process of preparing the envelopes. First we wanted to give you all ONE LAST CHANCE to pick them up in person, and ONE MORE PLACE to do so. Also if your address has changed recently you might want to let me know. You can check the status of your order (updated daily) on my Google Sheet.

KICKSTARTER BACKERS please let me know by 8/27 at noon if you would like us to have your copy/copies at the pickup events in Ypsilanti (8/29) or Beulah (9/5), or held for you in Kalamazoo (after 9/2), and you haven't done so already, email Seth. If I don't hear from you by mid-day Thursday next week we'll put it in the mail.

NEW PICKUP OPTION:

AFTER SEPT 2 at THE CHEESE LADY in KALAMAZOO

When: Starting Wednesday, Sept 2, during business hours. Tues-Fri 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm. (CLOSED SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS)Where: The Cheese Lady Kalamazoo, 7035 West Q Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009 (only in-store, not at other locations) (map link) (phone: 269-353-3050). They'll be behind the counter and so you go up to the person working there and say you're there to pick up your book and they will ask your name and Kickstarter #, and if they match you get your book/books.
Entertainment: No entertainment but you should compliment the photography when you pick it up because the owner's husband took a plurality of the photos in it (including the cover shot).

You will need: Your Kickstarter # and an ID.

TWO PICKUP EVENTS:

SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN: AUG 29 in THE BEER GARDEN at CULTIVATE in YPSILANTI

When: Saturday, August 29. Q&A 5pm to 6pm. Pickup from 2pm to 10pm Where: Cultivate Coffee & Tap House Beer Garden, 307 N River St., Ypsilanti, MI 48198 (map link) Entertainment: Brian and I will be there for a Q&A session.

They have a community garden on site that is maintained by volunteers, with the food distributed to local food pantries. We'll have tables set up around the yard (outdoors) where one person at a time can pick up their book(s) without breaking COVID contain.

You will need: Your Kickstarter # and an ID.

NORTHERN MICHIGAN: SEPT 5 at OUTSIDE FIVE SHORES BREWING in BEULAH

When: Saturday, Sept. 5. Q&A 5pm to 6pm. Pickup from 2pm to 10pm
Where: Five Shores Brewing, 163 S Benzie Blvd, Beulah, MI 49617 (map link)
Entertainment: I'm flying solo on this one.

Again, they have a beer garden space that is perfect for our needs. They have some tables but a lot of guests sit on the lawn or bring folding chairs, and a Steelhead Cafe food truck serving broasted fish and stuff. As with the Ypsi plan, we'll have unmanned pickup tables set up by last name so that you can pick up your copy/copies without breaking contain.
