Talk about a finishing kick! You knew harbaugh would get someone here.
Yep, also, McGregor should have comeback to A2 after amazingly not being drafted, he could have had a Hutch-Like lite season in 2024.
I really hope the Lions sign him as an UDFA.
I believe he is set to graduate , so it could be him just wanting to move to the next phase of his life. Canāt begrudge a young man for doing that.

Going out on top
Also Myles Hinton. We could definitely use him right now.
Edit: screw up, meant Trente Jones.
Hinton is coming back. He was just injured for the spring game.
Trente leaving was a big mistake and a big loss for the team. He could have had a full season as the starter and would have been the key guy on our OL. His draft prospects would have been much greater. Alas, he did not consult me.
Not surprised at all that he wasn't taken. Very surprised Cornelius was.

I think he went to the Jets as an UDFA.
YezzzzziRRRR
Corn Joe
CoJo going to play for Harbaugh.....nice
He should actually see the field as a WR, too. That room is sparse.

I think he is one of the most underrated players on the team. I bet he sticks and plays quite a bit. He has the speed and athleticism to succeed and he is a great down field blocker.
Jim gives us the record with the fifth to last pick! poetry!
isn't the record 15? We're at 13...
Count them. 13 indeed
ah, I saw a graphic saying 12. thanks! too bad, looks like we won't get it
Let's count Eric All as one of ours. He spent a vast majority of his playing time at Michigan. All only played half a season at Iowa before he was injured and ended his college career.
But using that rationale, we can't count Ladarius Henderson because he played the majority of his games at Arizona State.
I count the guys who wanted to be here and finished their careers in maize and blue.
Please note that Eric All only played half a season at Iowa. Ladarius Henderson played a whole season at Michigan.

Yes the all time record is 15 from Georgia a couple years ago. 13 represents the all time record for Michigan.
The record is 15. We need two more.
Nope. Need two more to tie
Correct, Georgia had 15
Gimme a Barn heart or a Mack greggor
Too many people trying to out scoop each other
rob f doing his best Hank Scorpio impression.
Always thought it sucked that you can't go back if you aren't drafted. In other sports you can go back even IF you're drafted
If Michigan had a solid NIL all the UDFA players could've returned.
so underrated. Cornelius made some incredibly difficult catches.
Under? Ehhh
āWhat? More than a dozen Michigan players drafted into the NFL. I wuz told that Michigan only won every game last season because they cheated.ā
Buckeye Slappy.

Interestingly the 4 teams in the CFP were the top 4 in players drafted, but cheating...
- Michigan - 13 players selected
- Texas - 11 players selected
- Washington -10 players selected
- Alabama - 10 players selected
- Florida State - 10 players selected
- Oregon - 8 players selected
- Georgia - players selected
It sure is strange how that works.
13 is my lucky number. Amazing draft for Michigan. What a way to wrap up a championship season Several UDFAās signings to come. Go Blue.
Obligatory:

"GOT A WIIIDE OPEN RECEIVER!!"
The 22 OSU game with two long TDs will always be remembered
Best of luck in the NFL
Awesome to see this young man drafted to the NFL, but note to Harbaugh: throw the ball to Cornelius!
CJ could have gotten much higher stats on a team less balanced and focused than Michigan. But he won a title here and I think he's going to stick in the NFL and do well, with better-than-I-thought speed, great routes, and a willingness to work hard and do well at literally everything he is asked to do.
He does not run great routes unfortunately.
April 27th, 2024 at 10:03 PM ^
Uh, can you back that up? I've watched his routes quite a bit and I've almost always seen them be terrific. He has better precision and a better repertoire than, for example, Roman Wilson, though Roman Wilson obviously has better speed.
April 28th, 2024 at 12:10 PM ^
is it better to be 5ā10ā with 4.39 speed like Roman or 6ā3ā and 4.44 like CJ?
There is a reason he was one of the last people drafted. He has great athleticism. But he's a horrific route runner. Below average hands. I hope he does well and carves out a niche. 50/50 that he makes the roster. Hope he does though.
But to back it up, here is what the Chargers put out for his draft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld_oSdaiYaw Starts at 47 seconds/
I really love that guy! (And obviously Harbaugh does too). Possibly my favorite player on Team 144. Seems like one of the unsung heroes of the team - while McCarthy, Corum, Wilson, Sainristil, Edwards and others were getting more of the mentions and glory, Cornelius was often the one to quietly make a play when Michigan needed it, getting open for first down catches, making downfield blocks, etc. I hope he gets paid and does really well in the NFL.
Anyone hear about how CJ ranked like 36 of 1800 wrs since 1987, in some composite score?
April 27th, 2024 at 10:45 PM ^
Yes, I saw that too. I can't remember if it was Next Gen Stats or RAS. He has plenty of speed and athleticism for the NFL. Underutilized at Michigan as far as I am concerned, but obviously Harbaugh valued him enough to draft him to the Chargers.
I shared my thoughts on CJ numerous years in a row and thought he should have gotten more opportunities to get catches. His route running is fantastic, his athletic ability is great, and heās a willing blocker. Heāll probably end up with better numbers in the NFL than college.
If he can get anywhere in the ballpark of Nico Collins as a jump ball merchant, he will stick forever.
