Didn't feel like this was worth its own thread but I also felt the need to share it so I'll post here.

I do handyman type work for a commercial property management company in Ann Arbor. We have a half dozen big properties on Main St. lots of our tenants are big local companies you'd know. One tenant tells me that a guy he does a business with is a lawyer who is closely connected to UM athletics, and apparently despises Harbaugh. He apparently was a big Ron English advocate back in 2014 during the coaching search, I kid you not. He was bitter that Michigan didn't go with "his guy" and has never let go of that bitterness. Not long ago he got himself onto the infractions committee at the NCAA and he has major pull now wrt their investigations, and it was shortly thereafter that cheeseburger scandal erupted. The point is, this sounds exactly like the sort of thing that would happen at Michigan, that the vendetta against our own coach is coming from within the family.

This guy?

Whoever it is, he wanted English in 2014? This English?

He would've been a bad choice then and in 2007 (when plenty of people, including a former coach of some renown, were like-minded). Chris Creighton has put to rest the silly idea that's it's impossible to win any games at EMU.

Everyone agrees that this investigation is a sham and won't amount to anything.  But it's got to be annoying for Harbaugh to deal with.  I suspect that a rival coach reported this to the NCAA in the hope that it might push Jim out the door.

Are you guys really that dumb?  Some idiot heaps praise on Harbaugh and now you think he's the coolest guy ever?

Fuck cowher, I love Coach Harbaugh because of what I see him do and hear him say, dont need no overpaid charlatan to confirm it for me.

The point isn't that people should love Cowherd. The point is that he's a national voice, someone with real media influence. The fact that he (and many other media members such as JJ Watt and RG3) are dismissive is very helpful in the court of public opinion, given that this "story" broke in a way that was pretty obviously influenced by people with an axe to grind and possibly the NCAA itself (which has already broken its own rules about commenting on investigations THIS SEASON).

I like his take cuz it’s nice to who I root for, but I’ve always hating his self praise. Clip was full of it.  I know it’s all nonesense.

Finebaum post and love for that guy who gave us a cookie for the first time.

Still, agree with me and all is forgiven….

Between his podcast with Burrow and his defense of Michigan namely Harbaugh, as a bengals and Michigan fan Collin has catapulted up there with Klatt and Josh Pate as my fav commentators. Everything he said is true: MSU is immature and insecure and then leaking the report and issuing a statement right after saying they thought of canceling over player safety after last year’s tunnel incident and “Tuck Cumming” is truly something out of the Onion.

Nice video. Thanks you for sharing. Finally, someone said what we have been thinking -- Michigan is better than OSU. That is a nice accolade after the 20 years before that. I used to listen to Cowherd when was on ESPN. Now I may watch him once in a while.

I know people sometimes shit on cowherd, but I listen to him frequently. He sometimes has bad takes but I always find his show interesting.

He is absolutely right also. This fiasco for me is just  provides reaffirmation to how pathetic Sparty’s  fan base is, Especially the ones on Twitter. They don’t want to be called little brother, and yet, they epitomize exactly what the remark means. It’s more fitting 16 years later than it was then.

You know the NCAA doesn't have a leg to stand on when people like Cowherd and Finebaum are openly talking about how much of a sham the investigation is

Most of the pundits and former athletes I have seen/heard in the media (and amateurs on YouTube/podcasts) are either laughing it off or calling it blatant targeting of Harbaugh by the NCAA.  Even Danielson didn't want to touch it in the pregame show.  The only people I see stirring this up in the media is ESPN, for clicks and eyeballs.

I live in Ohio, so obviously Buckeye fans are making a huge deal out of this because they live in a complete fantasy world when it comes to Ohio State.
