The fact that Nkamhoua didn't have a big game on offense and M won easily was encouraging. Watching the pregame on FS1 made it clear that nobody had watched a Michigan game yet. This season has already been more enjoyable than all of last season. Go Blue!!!
Definitely noticed that too. There were a few possessions in the second half where he caught the ball in the post and was quick and decisive taking the ball to the basket. No catching and holding on to the ball while the other players stood around waiting for him to do something.
Yesterday was the first MBB game I've attended (40th bday gift from the wife). I get that it was the season opener against a mid major team but I was shocked at the lack of attendance. The seats were easily half empty. That aside, the game itself was a joy to watch. The ball movement and shooting was better than anything they put out there last season. If Dug's 3 point shooting is sustainable good luck to whoever has to guard him. I just hope he can hold up to playing 38 minutes a game because there isn't anything close to a backup PG on the roster right now.
Killian, though he showed some glimpses this season, is still very much a work in progress. If the Pistons get the 4th pick and Ivey is there I don't think there is any way they pass on him. If they land a top 3 pick I think they will take one of the bigs (Paulo, Chet, or Jabari).
If Zavier keeps playing like that OKC will have to sit him the last couple games to keep this tanking on schedule. That box score was something. I follow the NBA a little bit more that the casual fan but there were not many names I recognized.
Had a great debut too! At least according to the box score (didn't watch the game). 10 pts, 5 ast, 3 reb, 1 stl, and 2! blocks. And the thunder made a huge 4th quarter comeback to beat Portland (which is good as a Pistons fan for lottery purposes). As much as I loved Zavier at M I never thought he would make it to the league. Very happy for him. Obviously not ready to give up on his playing career but I think he would make a great coach someday if he ever chose to do so. The ultimate floor general PG.
As a side note I challenge any casual NBA fan on this board to look at that box score and see how many names they recognize outside of Zavier. If its more than 3 then kudos to you.
I live in Alpena now, originally from Posen who most of this board outside of you have never heard of. I didn't realize Dutcher was born here. Kevin Young was a first baseman for the Pirates back in the 90s and maybe early 2000s who was born in Alpena too. And Blaise Ilsley is from Alpena and was the pitching coach for the Cardinals not that long ago. Not exactly household names but it's something.
I am aware of both Tom Brady and Drew Brees. It was an attempt at a joke. As a gluten for punishment Bengals fan for the last 20 years I have suffered many times at the hand of Big Ben and very much enjoyed his below average play at the end of his career. I agree he is a sure fire hof'er who took a beating like few QB's ever have during his career. And I enjoyed that as a Bengals fan.

McCormack was a beast in that 2nd half. Defensive impact was huge. Obviously made a few big shots too. Great game
Well for not liking either team I just wanted to see a good game. It definitely delivered.

The officials in the Bengals-Raiders game were hilariously bad. They made the crew working the state game this season look competent-ish.
