The running back should have picked up the blitz. And Speight's fault for waiting too long to throw. Watch the replay, he sees the receiver is free one on one and instead of throwing he jumps TWICE in the air. Then throws. How about throwing to your receiver who's covered by an undersized db who doesn't know where the ball is.
Watch the FSU game, the qb doesn't wait to throw the fade against Lewis.
Speight is playing scared. He's not even attempting throws he used to make. I think he's terrified of making a mistake and getting benched. I also think he's worried he's blown any chance at the NFL. After the game he was interviewed, and he looked shell shocked.
Also, Carr didn't get a decent backup until Navarre's senior year, Matt Guiterez, so there was no chance of sitting Navarre when he throwing all those picks early on. If Drew hadn't gone to the Yanks, Navarre may have developed more and the fans would have had more patience.
His voice was college football. Can't believe this happened during the ND game, have the ticket framed in my office. Hard to imagine anything bad happening to anyone that day (not counting ND fans).

Is what most of the play calling looked like
Is the defense has let downs like they did against Indiana in 2015, but Speight can't pull out the wins like Rudock did in that game.
