Clearman's Galley. It is a little outside Pasadena, but good food and environment. If you want something a little nicer, without a dress code, Clearman's North Woods is next door. Good steaks, seafood, and baked potatoes with mushroom gravy and cheese butter. Salads and cheese bread at both are very good.

"adults remember things being harder than they are and imagine kids today have it easier than they do,"

I have 3 kids in in school right now and you couldn't pay me to be young again and go through what they deal with on social media.

Best of luck with your wife and her results.

I personally enjoyed his podcasts and they did make me feel a bit better about the situation. Why did you listen to him in the first place? If you don't agree or support don't listen. To come on to this forum and say things about someone who was only trying to inform and help is ridiculous. Leave the guy alone or don't watch.

I have a question for the MGoBlog community regarding the rutgers, osu, and purdue sign stealing story. I played high school football and remember our Saturday morning film sessions. All of the games were filmed in the press boxes and then shared with each team. From this information teams came up with their game plans. Coaches would then use these plans/notes for the next game. From what I am reading the supposed defense for rutgers, osu, and purdue is that they did not use electronic equipment. My question is how easy do you think it would be for one person or even a group of people to sit on the sidelines with a pen and a piece of paper, in real time, without a tablet, phone, camera, communication system, or other electronic device and try to decipher a team's plays? You could obviously write down what you saw, but flipping through one or various handwritten notebooks comparing plays with others in a small window, say 10 seconds, so you could then counter and send your team the correct play seems like it would be incredibly difficult without photos, an electronic device, or a communication system.

Alumni need to show support as well and withhold donations. It amazes me people inside the program would do this. I have loved Michigan since my grandfather took me to my first Rose Bowl in 1990 and still do after graduating over 20 years ago. I will not continue donating to a university that doesn't support Harbaugh or the football program.

Lived there for 11 years while we went through the entire process of getting permits, building, and opening the business. Living in Costa Rica I had to accept almost everything takes a lot longer. People move at a different pace, but that is what also makes it nice.

My first few years I had to make friends with the local internet cafe owner because that was the only way I could watch the UM games.

There are 7 homes on the property and he is traveling with his in-laws.  He might want to have his own 1 bedroom home and stick his in-laws in another.

If you like to fish I can set something up with the locals who go out at night and come back with ridiculous amounts of seafood. They only ask you pay for gas ($10) and bring your own life jacket.

Don't accept any local moonshine though :)

The property is located a few minutes north of the Tarcoles/Crocodile River Bridge (20-25 minutes from Jaco). There are seven 1 and 2 bedroom homes (1450-2250 sq ft) on the 20 acre converted mango plantation, so you could share a home or have your own.

I own a small hotel in Costa Rica and always tell family and friends visiting from the US to go down in November. The rainy season is ending and the weather is cooler. There are also less tourists at the beaches and on the excursions/activities. Lots of fresh tropical fruit too.

Completely agree Recently this blog has been incredibly negative. It is sometimes hard to read a bunch of UM fans bashing each other and the team. WD comes on here and people constantly trash everything he writes. He takes time out of his day and writes informative posts. If you don't want to see the latest UM gear than don't click on the link. I truthfully agree with most of the things he writes and even if I don't it is interesting to see what other respectful people think. More people on here need to have some class. On a side note I love morning games. There is nothing better than waking up to UM football at 9am. Days I have to wait until 4pm are always hard. I can also see why night games would be beneficial for recruits on the west coast. Not many high school kids are up at 9am in the morning.
I thought I was the only one. I thought I was the only one. For me the answer is simple, pride. UM is a big part of who I am. My grandfather is a fellow alum (grandmother is a buckeye) and he took me to the Rose Bowl several times when I was very young. Unfortunately UM lost the first few games we went to. He finally took me back to AA where we watched UM beat Illinois in the snow. It was so cold he bought me a big UM jacket from Moe's. I never took off even in the heat of Southern California. It is one of my fondest memories. I worked my butt off to get in and graduate. It is one of the things I am most proud of. Everyone, even friends in Michigan, wondered why I would leave Southern California to attend Michigan. Before my grandfather passed I was able to hand him my acceptance letter. Without missing a beat he asked, "who did you pay". I was accepted into USC and other local schools, but once I received the letter from UM there was no doubt in my mind where I was going. My mother and grandmother cried when they saw the acceptance letter. After my grandfather passed my grandmother and I would always have a friendly rivalry on game day, but she always wore a UM shirt/sweater throughout the year. While on her daily walks around Pasadena she loved being able to tell people her grandson went to the same school as her husband. The losses hurt, but the feeling I get when I tell people I am a Wolverine is the best. We bleed Maize and Blue because it is who we are. Don't ever forget it. Go Blue!!!
Congratulations Sorry, haven't used this enough to know how to delete a double post.
Congratulations My wife and I recently welcomed our first child. It was a wonderful yet scary experience. Everyone is going to tell you what to do. Children are amazingly strong. Figure out what is best for you and your wife and go with that. Everything will be fine. Best of luck.
Wow, with such a wealth of Wow, with such a wealth of knowledge I am surprised you are here and not working as a scout in the NFL.
What form of scouting What form of scouting predicts NFL success consistently? None. If you were on an organization would you want the combine or not? Organizations use all of the info at their disposal. It is there for a reason.
If watching kids play

If watching kids play football was everything then there wouldn't be a combine.  It has already been established that these guys are good at football.  You don't play college ball at this level without being head and shoulders above 99% of the population.  Before today teams had done approximately 90% of their evaluation and are in the process of seeing which players they want on their draft board.  As you can see from my previous response I think they are trying to see long term results not 3-5 years.  I agree squats would be a great, but the majority of my freshman high school team hadn't ever done a squat.  Almost everyone had done reps on a bench press.

What is going to What is going to differentiate you from the rest? Anything can drop these kids in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised to see them change the exercise in the future to better represent football ability, but there are very few exercises these kids have been doing their entire athletic career. It takes years to be able to put up 15-30 reps. You can't start the summer benching 135 and then begin the season putting 225 up even 5 times. As another member mentioned teams may want to see long term dedication with some sort of strength exercise. Side note- pushing those damn sleds at the end of practice would make my entire body sore including chest.
Blocking Skills If you don't have enough upper body strength blocking skills could be an issue.
Conspiracy theory

Does anyone else think Texas had a hand in the Big 12 deciding not to expand because they wanted Herman.
