Submitted by justthinking on September 4th, 2019 at 3:24 PM

Today is a day of ecstatic celebration as we learned my wife’s recent PET scan is clear and there is no evidence of lymphoma anywhere in her body!

Tremendous thanks to the wonderful U of M Rogel Cancer Center doctors, pharmacists and chemo nurses that brought my wife through and out of the bowels of cancer hell!

Truly Leaders and Best! Go Blue!

Beating cancer requires a patient with grit and courage and a family that is supportive and resilient. Your wife and family have surely met the challenge. And then you need medical professionals of all sorts and where else but U-M Hospital?

Great patient + great family + great medical care = beating that fucking disease.

Yay!

My wife's next PET scan is Friday. Although we don't expect as good news (she has second-time-around metastacized breast cancer), we are hopeful, as she has continually exceeded the doctor's expectations ever since being rediagnosed last December.

She inspires me to always try to Exceed Expectations! I'm certain that your wife inspires you, too!

I do, frequently! And kiss her frequently too.

I will admit that her potential impending departure has increased the affection I have paid to her in the past eight months. Cancer does have the benefit of focusing your attention. Not that our relationship needed it, but it has definitely strengthened our bond.

That's awesome news, my man!  My sister is fighting cancer right now and has nothing but wonderful experiences at the Cancer Center.  Congratulations to your wife and your entire family; it truly is a group effort to fight this awful disease.

That's the best news posted on MGoBlog today, and the best news I've heard anywhere since my younger sister told me last week that she's cancer-free after surgery and follow up chemo.

Congratulations, and as always: fuck cancer!!!
