Full disclosure, I'm looking forward to jettisoning my ubiquitous 5-seat SUV - that rarely sees snow or dirt or back seat occupants - for one of these post-armageddon capable machines.
Steeler fan here - hated to see him go. He was our best CB in '22. Excellent coverage guy....but he got exposed by some of the better WRs (not an A+ athlete). He is not a shutdown corner. But given his high football IQ and capability to play in the slot, he provides excellent flexibility. I will be rooting for him in the Honolulu blue.
Sorry to hear that. I, like many here, have experienced similar. My auto job was "moved" to China in 2009. 15 months later I finally landed a good job with the federal gov't and moved to DC. Not nearly as exciting, but I don't fear another layoff. Risk = reward, but as I've aged out at many employers, I can sleep at night knowing I have a pension coming.
With that said, have you considered working with the Federal Gov't? We are always looking for J.D.s. Remote opportunities are more available than ever.
I just sold my 2010 328 because the needed maintenance was equal to the price of the car. This was just after 70k miles.
With that said, I do miss the car. It was a hoot to drive and was even, dare I say, reliable. Nevertheless, it still required >$1k every year in maintenance. Not sure it is that much better than comparable non-German brands. There is a cost to ownership.
Same game, Jordan Poole, 18 mins, 2 pts. So wish he would have stayed another year.
Edit: I wished he'd have stayed being a selfish fan. I also think another year under Beilein would have helped mature the kid and would have benefited the team. But I would be the first to recommend kids looking at a 1st round grade and associated money to leave. We go to college in order to make money. Jordan is a success no matter what happens from here.
I was at another resort on Bavaro in November with my gf. I got a really good deal on Costco so I didn't have sky-high expectations. I enjoyed the trip but found the resort a little boring (little to no late night entertainment). That said, the beach is incredible. Compared to other Caribbean resorts, DR is an outstanding value.
I will repeat others and recommend not drinking the water. You may want to avoid the mixed drinks and the mini-bar too - apparently tampered alcohol was the cause of death. But definitely do indulge in the fresh fruits. Awesome and plentiful mangoes and passion fruit.
