Matt, is the staff still evaluating Elmarko Jackson? I remember you saying you liked his game a lot and that he would be interested in going blue.

Matt, if Michigan lands Reed…

Matt, if Michigan lands Reed would Traore be a take as a defacto “wing” and take the names above off the pursuit list. Thanks for the update!

Is there any talk on a timeline for Reed? Would be a nice domino to drop

Matt, would you say the longer Akins draws out his recruitment the better the chances for Michigan?

Another close finish to get…

Another close finish to get spurned at the end...staff still searching to land a big fish.

Matt, is the staff still…

Matt, is the staff still pursuing Akins heavily or have they accepted the fact that it seems MSU is the inevitable choice? Also, has Michigan been in talks with Poplar at all yet? Appreciate your insight!

Also related to WS. After watching Will Tschetter in his championship game online, I have some concerns as to how productive he will be at Michigan. He was matched up with David Joplin, a three star similarly ranked PF to Will and Will seemed overwhelmed defensively. His offensive game is fairly polished with a quick release and good range on his jumper and his footwork in the post is refined. However, he seems to lack the athleticism needed to defend, rebound, and create his own shot. His stats from the weekend were almost all less than five rebounds a game which isn’t ideal for a 6’8 kid. He also struggled to finish around the rim due to an inability to elevate and explode. On defense his lack of quickness made him an easy target to drive on and also made him have to close out cautiously on shooters to the point they could get their shot off without a contest. I’m hoping the staff didn’t overvalue his film against small school competition in Minnesota. Would you say that’s an accurate assessment, Matt?

Appreciate all the insight…

Appreciate all the insight here! What would you rank the guards as far as most likely to end up in the class? Warley, Brizzi, Akins, Collins?

It is Jaden Akins. Matt has…

It is Jaden Akins. Matt has always been extremely high on him. In-state kid, probably friends with Pierre Brooks and seen to be an MSU lean. Think he was implying we are trying to drag out the recruitment to stay in it. Would be a huge get for a position of need.

Was also my first time…

Was also my first time attending a rivalry game on the road. I expected it to be worse than it was...fans on the concourse gave an occasional "fuck Michigan" but nothing personal. When we got to our seats though there was an old man sitting in front of us who was quite an ass as soon as they took the lead. When Iggy fouled out he turned around, flexed and said "fuck you guys, thats what you get for wearing that shit here." But overall, could have been worse. 95% of them were fine.

Good for him! Hope he sticks…

You would be correct, sir.

You would be correct, sir. Just out of college. Closest to seeing and understanding that for me was JT and the spot...

Probably showing my lack of

Probably showing my lack of age on that one...Watched him in the league, but never at Michigan. Shame is probably deserved lol

I think OP may have been

I think OP may have been referring to Devry Hamilton rather than Erick Swenson in the post. Hamilton is currently starting at tackle for Stanford and would be a huge help on this years roster.

I heard Virgina was looking

I heard Virgina was looking like the most likely destination for Drake.

Wow! That's a big time

Wow! That's a big time performance against the class A favorites. Class of 2018 could be special.

Totally agree. Would hate to

Totally agree. Would hate to see it, but the writing on the wall seems pretty clear.

Hate to specualte,

Hate to specualte, but definitely don't think this is a good sign for Walker. After sticking around and getting his academics in order, I was really pulling for him to work out. By the end of the year he seemed to be getting closer to finding himself a contributing role on the 2018 team, and for sure the 2019 team after we lose Higdon. Here's to hoping he stays in the fold!

When it comes to Sparty the

When it comes to Sparty the clear answer for me is Kirk Cousins. An underrated kid who continued to prove himself, and did it with pure class. His Big Ten luncheon speach sticks out as one of the most impressive speeches I've ever heard from a college kid.

For me it's got to be Aaron

For me it's got to be Aaron Craft. Had some epic battles with Trey, but you had to respect the passion, hustle, and defense he brought to the floor every game.

Dear lord...the evidence just Dear lord...the evidence just doesn't stop. Crew should never be allowed on a big ten field again.
Saw that same play with

Saw that same play with Samuel and wondered the same thing...For consistency, with these ref's logic, thats a technical foul in basketball too so definitely should have merrited a call. Unbelievable.

I understand the panic and

I understand the panic and chaos, but goddamnit we have come to far for this. If Osu can win a title on a third string qb, and msu can beat osu with Tyler O'Connor then why the hell is John O'Korn not up for the task. He has started in CFB for a full year, and 8 months ago was pegged as our qb this year...your time is here John. Fuck'em up. Onward
