While it is (almost unanimously now) clear that RR was not the right hire, who is to say that Hoke would have done this well 5 years ago. 5 Years of additional experience could have made all the difference in preparing him for where he is now. Just my 2 cents and something to think about.
I find it very interesting that Cyrus [Hobbi] said Michigan was " hands down the best campus he had ever seen". That truely says something about AA and how the coaches portray the campus to the recruits. As a recent Grad, I will surely miss diag and big house.
But it isn't much of a silent commitment if people know about it. I don't think anyone (excluding maybe RR) can say for certain if these kids were going to come here or not...
At least that is the rational that keeps me sane when I think of the fact that Frost could have been here.
"I think he would have been a great fit for the old spread", it doesn't see like we are going that direction anymore. One can hope! But really doesn't see to be the way anymore (sadly IMO).
I'm not going to pretend to know more about this situation than Stafon Johnson almost having his head decapitated. I just hope whomever is responsible pays the price -> If it was the S&C fault, then USC is fined or he is fired... if it was an accident, then I am truly sorry for what happened, but that is life and no one else should suffer.
Yes! But you can't just think about the now with recruiting... with the (possible) early draft guys, we may regret this in a couple years. Plus, we have so many schollies available! I would love to eat my words about that when the deadline comes, but right now, I seriously doubt it.
Did't they finish like 3rd and 10th overall defense in the past two years? I'd take that. Call it close to dropping dead (heaven forbid) if you want. A guy that does that in the NFL can come and coach my team anytime!
On another occasion, Evashevski shocked both his coach and teammates by lighting a victory cigar on the sidelines with thirty seconds to play in a 1939 win over Ohio State
I have never seen someone so loved by everyone around him. And, honestly I think his reaction made me feel so much better about the situation.
"His smile is like a fantastical parade of pearly white unicorns frolicking around together with beams of sunshine bestowing itself upon the herd. " - I was sitting next to Fred Jackson. This is how he narrated the scene at the time.
But in all seriousness, that is a kid that truly loves where he is as well as the people around him. I know that he is hurt, and must feel as if he is somewhat betraying the man (RR) who found him if he at least does show some disdain. But that is a boy who loves Michigan. I for one, am not worried.

First day out of AA and back home (I graduated).

Animal heads!

But other than that I like!

But that may just be me?
Dantonio using some more of that dirty recruiting by posing as a Mich stalker? Nahh, that is giving him too much credit.

But the story of this commitment seems so wrong. I'm not sure if it is from the kids side or ND, but the ESPN article on is just horrible.

Pull... him right to AA!
Yes.
everytime I see your avatar, JimBobTressel, a little piece of me dies.
I thought he coached defense.
Your avatar very much coincides with this comment. Just thought I should point this out :)
This is quite a prediction and my heart can't take much more teasing like this (although I hope it'll be true).
Your logic is correct, but Hoke was also mentioned early and frequently. And we all see what happened with that!
Over my dead body will this kid go to ND and play WR!
I'm obviously insightful as hell... and I'm still clueless by this move with Lucien.
Bad Ass.
Probably not... until we get farther down the road. It is never a good thing to have such a large swing in pure numbers between classes.

Those who stay will be champions... and won't leave us with just OMG Hoke (+ or -) ranters.
Are you mad man?
Jolly good.
