I felt like the Slippery Rock-Wayne State game was highlighted! They took time out to announce it and give it almost half the scoreboard (I think Carl may have also encouraged people to go to the game?)
Yep. I think it's been that long. And there are posts and emails and texts and reminders about it to everyone who might *possibly* have a ticket to a game. I have been with people who had to throw away the mesh bag their rain poncho came in...the bag prohibition is serious.
I hope he has learned the lesson. Certainly we won't know that for a long time. I will admit I don't know much about baseball, but I can't fathom why our team wasn't eliminated right there. And even as a huge Michigan Sports fan....this team is one I will question....and likely question this coaching staff for a long time (even though publicly, they handled it well yesterday).
Baseball isn't my sport, but I usually attend a game or two a year. This year I didn't (because....schedules). I turned on the tournament yesterday and within an inning of my first exposure to this team....we get caught cheating. I'm having trouble celebrating yesterday's success.
I have only personally seen two people try to enter Crisler or Yost without a vaccination card. Both were denied entrance and referred to the local CVS to get a current COVID test. As for masks, the event staff will ask politely a couple of times and offer you a mask, but after the third or so time they have to act, they have asked folks to leave.
I don't like it either (and neither does my section's event staff)--I live in a state that hasn't required masks at all, but it is the rule on campus, and it is expected that everyone follows it.
I'll be headed down from the Indiana-Michigan border! Been to every game since BTT. Parking is kind of iffy at Lucas Oil--if you are already parked somewhere in Indy, I'd uber or walk.
I think Jan Dowling is *that coach* for W Golf. In the last 4 years, we've had our first Big Ten champion ever, made the NCAA finals twice and have signed players who have world rankings. The NCAA used to be a pipedream....now it's a regular expectation. That program is coming along nicely, as the facilities have improved.

It was a great tournament to watch. The team is very good and you can't beat our home golf course. Good luck next week at Nationals!
Mikaela won the tournament we hosted in the fall. This team is full of players who could get hot any particular week.

I'm hoping for the early game. Driving 3 hours each way to see the game....early afternoon would be perfect!
The U-M ticket office got half of the ones that went to the schools (and likely the ones returned from Texas Southern). It was 90% U-M in there today.
