I should add that I've been following this team religiously since I was 10 with the Fab 5. It's been tough being so close so many years, but it feels like they've laid the foundation for success have finally turned the corner for good. Belien, returning the whole team, the rapid improvement, the practice facility, Trey Burke, Carlton Brundridge, hopefully a bump in recruiting, the future is bright. Horford developing and an extra big and this team is scary good.
Michigan basketball is back and in good hands with Beilein and company. This makes me happy. Wolverines don't die, you have to kill em' and from here on out this team is going to be doing the killing, mauling everyone the fuck off their court.
I'm going to say this before Michigan goes on its torrid run to knock off Duke so I look smart later, I love this basketball team. And holy shitballs do I dislike Duke. That is all.
Does this halftime team even do analysis on games involving 1 seeds. Seriously all we get is Barkley's Duke is going to wear Michigan down and Kenny's Duke won't let you run your offense. I don't expect much, but can you sneak in one positive comment about Michigan or something insightful. Hell, I talk basketball better in my comatose drunk stage
I wasn't going to complain, but a push with one second left to give them points heading into the half is hot garbage. At least the crowd is giving to these refs.
UM should start hand checking to see if the refs are going to call it. I'm serious have Vogrich hand check Singler on the perimeter one play to test the refs.
...but the team being an 8 seed, winning a tourney game by 30 points, sweeping MSU and crushing even the most optimistic expectations is so so sweet. If they shock the world and beat Duke I'm going to look into the legality of marrying a college bball team, can the lawyers on the board help a brother out.
Right now this season feels better because it's still happening. I suspect in a couple of years I'll look back at 2008-2009 as better and more important for breaking the program's drought. I'm just hoping that with each subsequent team we have this discussion because the program keeps improving.
