Oakland and Fresno...

Don't have deals at all. They purchase their uniforms from Nike.

In good weather,

In good weather, turnover-prone teams will fumble, good teams won't. In bad weather, all bets are off.

The skill of not fumbling is neutralized if the ball is wet and slick and once the ball is out, skill is off the table; recovery is luck.

Plus, good teams tend to be able to hit big pass plays (though this has not been the case for UM this year...) and bad weather can negate that benefit.

So between increasing turnover and decreasing plays that require greater skill that only the better team can take advantage of, the negative effect of weather impacts the better team more than the worse team.

Jumpman will be on the uniforms. Jumpman will be on the uniforms.

UNC has been able to wear UNC has been able to wear Jumpman cleats/gloves etc. but we are the first school who will have Jumpman uniforms.

Ignorant of what? He probably Ignorant of what?

He probably had all the facts and figures in front of him and made an educated and informed decision based on his preferences.

I doubt ignorance or stupidity played a role.

Let me start by saying I

Let me start by saying I fully supported the viewing of the movie and Harbaugh can do whatever he wants in my book, so make the team watch it 10 times.

HOWEVA...

First: You should know that the foundation of our rights in the U.S. is absolutely not the rule of majority. The foundation of our rights comes from the U.S. Constitution and even if only 10% of the country believes in a right, if that right is in the Constitution, then that trumps the 90%.

In fact, sometimes minority positions are better funded/supported by the "right" people, etc. and even without a constitutional basis a minority position prevails.

Basically, going forward we should not be under the impression that the rule of majority is how our system is intended to work, or does work.

Second, it is far too simplistic to say being offended is a choice. There are a host of genetic, cultural, environmental and even evolutionary factors that play into knee-jerk reactions of offense. You can reason and dialogue some of that away over a period of time, but asking anyone to just "not be offended because you don't have to be" doesn't really work.

Third: You are 100% correct in that just because someone is offended doesn't mean they are right. It is annoying when people are placated just because they throw temper tantrums.

That is a man who does not like interviews! That is a man who does not like interviews!
I think the standard phrase

I think the standard phrase for message board newsworthiness is "If it fits, we'll print it."

Every detail down to the size of Kim Kardashian's little toe-nail is newsworthy on the internet.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. Strong points.

Because RichRod isn't the

Because RichRod isn't the coach of Oregon and we didn't have Oregon's players.

People always focus on size/strength of the player when judging the S&C coach and that isn't right. A trainer at Ballys could take linemen with D1 athlete genetics and turn them into 320lb behomoths or 275 lbs of "svelt" quickness all the while having them bench 500 pounds. That isn't hard. It also isn't what matters.

I am 225 lbs and I bench 400. But guys much smaller and weaker than me could blow me off a ball no problem. Why? 1) I wouldn't have proper technique and 2) I'm a weightlifter, not an athlete.

Where S&C coaches earn their pay isn't with strength training, it with their dynamic training, I.e. how explosive and mobile they can make the players and how well their injury prevention training works. Basically, by turning big, strong guys into big, strong athletes.

There are so many variables on a football field it makes it nearly impossible to judge those things as just an observer. Unless you are in the weightroom writing down results and seeing improvements, there is no way to say anyone is great or sucks.

That being said, Barwis is ridiculously well respected in the industry...and that goes a long way in proving his mettle.

You know you have a lot of

You know you have a lot of famous people associated with the university when Tom Brady doesn't even make the cut for top six!

I am picturing Dr. Evil right now!

It's her fault. No woman

It's her fault. No woman should set expectations for a man. It's best for everybody.

Shorthanded player-wise...and

Shorthanded player-wise...and an entire coaching staff.

Any emotion other than

Any emotion other than clapping is a violation. Possible exception if you tell "Lets go!" while clapping.

Absolutely don't blame him! Absolutely don't blame him! Just curious if Hoke got pissy over it.
Rivals had a story where Butt Rivals had a story where Butt was mildly complaining about his lack of touches. Wonder if it's related.
I agree with the sentiment I agree with the sentiment and personally don't have an issue, but from a business perspective, posting muppets for this is ill-advised. There is going to be blowback and it isn't worth it.
Use your Google machine...

and ye shall have your answer re: the Crean/Harbaugh family connection.

*

We are the two seed. You think we would get to choose which uni we want to wear and TN would have to accommodate.

*

Me too...but mainly bc I trust a more fairly officiated game if we are playing TN

Ha! Good call
Probably? Hard to quit strange.
I would very much appreciate...

a full strength MSU team getting beat a couple times to shut up the string of excuses that Izzo can't keep to himself.

Of course he will just say "Because of injuries our players never got into a rhythm with each other" but still...

From the perspective...

of an entire career, no question Coach K is the more "successful" and distinguished coach. He is probably the most distinguished in the history of college basketball.

At this moment in time, however, and just emphasizing X's and O's, etc. (not taking recruiting into account bc Coach K can recruit on his laurels alone) I think Beilein is a better coach today than Coach K is today.

In no way is that an insult to Coach K, either.

My wife...

would beg to differ.

Yes, I have to talk trash on behalf of my wife because I am not smart enough to attend either school!!

This... is not what I wanted to wake up to.
Well as Ron Burgundy would say... agree to disagree. (Well, we do both agree that OSU fans are cocksuckers...)
Well I'm married so... yeah, you're right, at this point it wouldn't occur to me!! I'm not trying to trash anybody or spew venom, or even stand up for gay rights. Just pointing out that we shouldn't get all up in arms at every little comment when we ourselves do/say offensive shit all the time. And you know as well as I do that if you call one of your buddies (or in this case, an OSU fan) you are implying he's gay, not a woman, so don't cop out like that!
Uhhhhh...yeah? If you honestly can't see that "cock sucker" is a blatantly offensive term directed at homosexuals then you (as I implied initially) are guilty of the same ignorance you are accusing others of. Frankly, I think your avatar is hilarious, I have no problem with it, but recognize that it is blatantly offensive, own up to it, and then don't get on your "high horse" when someone says something that could be construed as offensive.
Wow... The guy who avatar is blatantly homophobic is incensed at racism. Gotta love hypocrisy...
