I hope it's a great day for you, capped off by a big Michigan win.
Tough & gritty but stiff & ugly on offense since Ditka went there.
Running floater from beyond the arch like the Florida player just did is such an easy shot and you dont see it that often.
That's a pretty tough shot to master.
A good shooting team is very capable of beating Florida, Michigan for example
Should be doable as long as they don't give all our bigs 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes again....though I'm not going to rule out that possibility
no present or cake/icing could be as sweet as a Michigan victory over Texas!
This game is what a lot of people thought it might be - a slow, defensive game. Neither Florida nor Pitt are above 50% for an eFG%, but defensive rebounds? Yeah, a fair number of those. Also, each team as four steals.
On the offensive possessions which led to Florida's steals, it seems as if Pitt sort of stood back there, "Here I am...dribbling the ball...you don't see me....I am going to start....HEY!"
Didn't see the shot at the end. Pretty much a 1-possession game though for intensive porpoises(!). Pitt is acutally playing fairly well. Like Kenny just said, the cumulative effect of the full court press I have a feeling will yield some points in the second half and give Florida an edge by the time the last 2:00 rolls around and before a free throw shooting contest starts. However, if Pitt keeps playing smart and doesn't turn the ball over, getting some shots to go, they'll hang around and make a game of this.
Screw my bracket, I want madness. Except in Milwaukee.
for all the birthday wishes folks, an M win would be a very "sweet" gift indeed!!!
I just hope nobody punches McGary in the dong...
Is ALWAYS the same, year after year they look like a bunch of football guys who decide to play hoops after 3 hours of pumping iron.Stiff & tight, wearing shirts 3 sizes to small.
This is the most accurate description of that team I've ever heard. Bravo
Florida has not looked impressive at all in either game.
Really? I'd say they look pretty good today.
but they're playing a team that shoots so many bricks they could build a 100 story skyscraper.
I'm by no means a Florida homer nor am I trying to argue. But you have to think part of the reason Pitt. is building Brick City is because Florida's defense is pretty stifling. It may not show itself as such all the time, their "press" I think takes away from how good they are in the half court, but they are tough to score on. I have a feeling Pitt isn't a great jump shooting team; today isn't helping that perception. They were a top-20 KenPom team, though, definitely no slouch at scoring the ball throughout the season.
I don't think Florida is a "great" team but I think they're pretty damn good, not overrated as some seem to think.
Some of that may be the Florida D, but most of it is Pitt's terrible offense.
please shoot better, I hate the SEC
those mugging assholes that don't get called enough for said muggings.
I'm a huge Billikens fan today! I hope St. Louis' shots have a beautiful arch to them!
Louisville and Saint Louis has the potential to be a foul fest.

I'm rooting for 100% chalk on MSU's half of the bracket until they're gone. Once they're out, I root for mayhem.
I think Memphis has a better chance against MSU than Virginia would.
Definitely possible. I just think MSU's defense is their problem, so if they can't score they'll be in big trouble.
Yes, I understand how sports work. I think MSU's strength is their offense, and a team that can do a good job of neutralizing that will frustrate them more than a back and forth barn burner would.
