Most Buckeye fans like me are still unsure what exactly Grinch worked with outside of the secondary. The assumption was that he would assume the DC role but Schiano got Travised and didn’t head down to Knoxville. Was he really a co-DC? Did he call plays?
UM fans saw how subpar the OSU defense was all season, so it makes sense that fans would cheer a staff member departing. The only defense guy Buckeyes fans support (yeah I’m generalizing) is Larry Johnson and like many others, I’d love to see the LB coach (Davis) gone.
That’s my biggest concern. OSU fans have seen many divas walk through the Woody over the years, the most notable and recent being TP. Obviously that didn’t end well. It’s a different culture these days and I can’t see one guy blowing it up but it does make me a tad uneasy.
I rarely post here but I want to thank the admins for the fine work. I used to camp out on the rivals boards years ago and chat up UM fans. When I am curious about what your fanbase is feeling, I come here. I still have ptsd from my undergrad years (‘97) when it comes to the rivalry but for you younger guys, I never thought the program would dominate UM like this. Good luck in ‘19.
Any UM fans worried about the Colts and Luck? I'm sure I'm flogging a dead horse with this one but I'm curious if any UM fans are concerned. Personally, I don't think he jumps ship but like Meyer and his man-love for Percy Harvin, I see it similar with Harbaugh and Luck.
