Well, take $200k in New York

Well, take $200k in New York for example. On $200k of income you'll be paying federal taxes of ~$45k,  SS and Medicare of about $10k, New York state taxes of about $12k and New York City taxes of about $7k.  So you'd net about $125k.

Add in an apartment at $5k a month (which is modest by NYC standards), that's $60k a year right there. Then throw in transportation, food, entertainmentt etc, and you might be about to put away $20-30k a year.  All this assuming you don't have any student debt to pay off either.

Are you scraping by on $200k a year? No. Are you living the high life? Probably not. Thus, middle class...maybe upper middle.

People never account for

People never account for *where" you work and live with these statistics. Making $200k a year in NYC or San Francisco is pretty much middle class.  If you're making $200k a year in the midwest you can pretty much buy whatever you want.

Do we even know if this is

Do we even know if this is real?  Surely Fisch isn't stupid enough to personally attack somone like that...especially someone with the hardware to back it up. I counted 3 National Title rings in that picture.

Why stir the pot? Makes us look like Sparty.

It's not like this guy got

It's not like this guy got pulled over for weaving.  He crashed his car.  That likely means he was way over the limit...or just can't drive. Guess we'll wait until the blood tests come back, but if he was like .10 or higher, this is going to look bad.

FS1? You've got to be

FS1? You've got to be freaking kidding me.

I would bet money Herbsterit had something to do with getting Galloway the job.

Just stop, boliver.  You're

Just stop, boliver.  You're embarrassing yourself.  Everybody who watched that hyde video knew 3 games was probably too harsh for what happened.

You act like he Ray Riced her or something.  Suspending someone 3 games when he was never even arrested or charged is more than enough.

The problems at Florida kept

The problems at Florida kept happening long after Meyer left. I'd make a case Florida has a culture problem. Comparatively, meyer has had few incidents at OSU.

Not really sure how I feel

Not really sure how I feel about a "team mom." I thought we were going to get away from the country club atmosphere. This sounds like a frat house.

Take it to East Lansing and

Take it to East Lansing and let 'er loose.

That's across all sports, not

That's across all sports, not just football.

OSU offered to honor this

OSU offered to honor this kids scholarship and let him get a 6 figure education for free.  As a parent, I'd be more concerned about a school letting my injured kid play and risk serious injury.

Which is why Michigan came under fire for how the Shane Morris situation was handled.

Stop making sense.  Urban is

Stop making sense.  Urban is the devil.

Alabama board is calling

Alabama board is calling Auburn shady and the Michigan board is calling OSU shady. We'll never know for sure what happened here.  I find it extremely unlikely that OSU doctors would be influened by a football coach.  Let's hope this kid has a productive career and is not injured again, because that could be very bad for Auburn and college football in general.

Narrative of pushing this kid

Narrative of pushing this kid out for scholarship reasons doesn't make sense. Pretty sure OSU said they're already 1 below the limit coming out of spring camp.

If you're going to "process" a kid, it doesn't make sense to process a highly rated young player.  You would cut a player who is an upperclassman who hasn't panned out.

Now if this kid blows out his knee (again) , Auburn is going to be a heap of trouble....

"Most of these kids are too

"Most of these kids are too young to remember 97 championship."

Uh, yeah. Because that was like 18 years ago. Most of these kids didn't even exist then.

Who has a dream to become a

Who has a dream to become a petroleum engineer? That's a little random.

I thought this usually affected young people?  Should have eaten more fiber.

I streamed ths fight for free

I streamed this fight for free and still felt like I over paid.

Boxing community is laughing all the way to the bank after suckering rubes into paying $100 to watch this pillow fight.  Might have literally killed boxing though.

You know there's a lot of

You know there's a lot of pissed off people who spent tens of thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands?) to watch that snooze fest.  If boxing wasn't already on death's doorstep before this, it is now.

Probably not funny if you go

Probably not funny if you go to Akron. But that's OSU for you...thinking they're better than everyone else.

I wonder if the elevation out

I wonder if the elevation out there will be a factor...? I'm sure the coaches will prepare accordingly.

Just seemed to me like OSU

Just seemed to me like OSU was in a lot of dogfights when Barrett was playing QB...games that they should have blown the other team out. And then Cardale Jones comes in and they suddenly become a juggernaut.  So while Barrett may be the better player, Jones gives them the better chance to win, IMO.

OSU's best three games of the

OSU's best three games of the season were their last 3.  Any correlation that Cardale Jones played in those games? I think so. He opened up their offense to the point where teams had to defend the deep ball and it opened up the running game and shorter passes.

Barrett is a good player, but he lacks the arm strength to keep the defense honest.  They'd be dumb to start him over Cardale.

Have a feeling the NCAA will

Have a feeling the NCAA will crack down on this soon, mostly because of all the SEC bitching. Urban would be dumb not to exploit this while it's legal though.  Not really sure this is a benefit to a school like OSU though. They're the 800 pound gorilla in college football. Would be a benefit to other schools in the B10 that aren't as prominent...like MSU, Wisconsin, Iowa etc.

OSU sold tickets so they

OSU sold tickets so they probably had a precise number of how many came.  Their stadium looked full, so I could easily see them having 100k there.

PSU fudged their numbers big time. So did MSU.
