I am rooting for Team USA in everything but basketball and I don't feel bad about it one bit. Coach K is a reason, but the players on this team are also a reason - shitty humans like Draymond Green and overhyped black holes like Carmelo are impossible for me to root for.
Funny that this got unanimously upvoted. What is the floor for next season? Considering they aren't losing a single player who made any significant contribution for the last 20 games, it should be no worse than this year, and probably better with development of Wagner and a dynamic talent in X hopping on board.
The hidden benefit from the Gary commit is that it finally buries those ghosts that we were unable to close on. The DeShawn Hand references on this blog will likely fade into obscurity - thanks Rashan!
Zero sympathy for people who bitch and moan about their job yet make no effort to find something that suits them better. Molk is a M educated letterman, there are opportunities for him outside of the NFL if he is as disgusted by it as he claims.
I sure hope this isn't Molk - comes off as a huge hypocrite. Snippet from the book description:
Johnny Anonymous' life goal was to be nothing greater or less than the Best NFL Back-Up of All Time™. For two years, he was content earning hundreds of thousands of dollars to stand on the sidelines doing absolutely nothing. But early in his third year, a starting lineman is injured, and he suddenly finds himself on the field.
For most players, this moment is a dream come true. But not so for our author, one of the incredibly rare birds in football who reach the highest echelons, but who actually hate America’s favorite game.
I get the concern over your health and respect people that quit or retire early - but don't accept the paycheck with one hand and write how much you hate it with the other.
I'm not ashamed to say getting the belt and wooden spoon when I misbehaved as a youngster has helped me understand bad actions have consequences. Nothing to do with toughness, its appreciating the results of my parents actions.
Maybe Michigan led her on. Or maybe Michigan thought it was in love, had a genuine interest, only to see that interest fade over time.
The question is, given that the relationship has started (regardless of the reason), what is the fairer outcome? Maintain the relationship even though your heart isn't into it just to placate the girlfriend, probably just delaying the inevitable (e.g. a transfer after it becomes evident that PT won't be available)? Or is it better in the long run for both parties to have a split, however painful, that allows both people to move forward with relationships they are truly interested in? If Harbaugh has lost faith in you as a player, do you really want the pity scholarship?
In your example, the other possibility is forcing yourself to try and make it work with a girlfriend who you don't believe is the long term answer. How is that fair to her?
Assuming you are an adult, you shouldn't. But peers on opposite sides of a contest should be able to have some fun as long as it isn't crossing the line.
Remember when you wouldn't hear about recruiting until after classes were signed, sealed, and delivered? Michigan probably lost dozens of all americans to late pushes from other schools and we never even knew. Much less stressful, those salad days.
May be better this way - if we were going to lose anyways (as many seemed to think), it will look better to the committee if the team's best player is out.
Actually it is accurate, depending on the site. Scout uses 25 players, which does get skewed by larger classes. Rivals uses 20.
247 appears to use 25 also - in 2015, Tennessee (with 30 recruits with an 89.43 avg.) was ranked 4th, ahead of #7 Ohio State (26 recruits with a 90.25 avg).
The number of recruits in a class is a huge determinant in the overall ranking - so by virtue of a smaller class next year, the ranking will be lower (even if we have a higher average ranking per player).

Big fan - Any chance you can make one for a vertically oriented monitor (portrait)?
I'm clearly missing something, but I'm happy for Mr. Morbotron that he is still with us.
SNOWFLAKES IN AUGUST. Thanks, needed to hear what you thought separate from everyone else.
That's bone. And the lettering is something called Sillian Rail.
2016 247 Composite Team Rankings: 1) Bama 2)FSU 3)LSU 4)OSU 5)MICHIGAN.....15) ND
To summarize, what the fuck are you talking about?!?
Bum rush, or potato avalanche?
Older, more experienced, with a edge in selected advanced stats (e.g. Why didn't you pick APM)....
Grant has more upside. Good deal for the Knicks, though I'm sure you're still pining for Trey over KCP also.
Yes - because THJ has so clearly outperformed Grant. Oh wait.

How many night games took place under Hackett's watch?

Well then I don't care for David Molk's hypocrisy. Great player here at Michigan, but if he's not into it, find a job in the real world.
Great drawing by McKeon - best of the bunch. Smart kid, obviously (with the Engineering aspirations).
McKeon: Growing up, my football idol was "Johnny Manziel".
That doesn't make me old. It makes me near death.

Whoops - wrong thread
From a 247 Clemson insider.....a little more serious than the ND guy for certain.
Do you ever hold those responsible accountable or just unilaterally condemn authority figures? Your game is tired.

PERFECT clip for this situation. Masterful work, Don.
Whoa there....stop bringing religion into public schools with this blessing business!

As far as I'm concerned, you're all still on probation.
But only if you mean them. "Nice try!" said sarcastically could be very hurtful.
I agree we are soft, but someone from a penal (penile) colony probably shouldn't be the one making that determination.

No clue about ESPN
