You need to get out of the…

You need to get out of the sewer more, my man. My mom's dead, too. So chill on the mom stuff.

What is your definition of the kind of regular success he should be producing? That we should rationally expect from this team every single year?

Clemson, which has not been…

Clemson, which has not been nationally relevant since the early 80s, is brought to its current prominence purely through the skillset, leadership, and hard work of Dabo Swinney? Have you heard him speak?

Wow. You're acting more and…

Wow. You're acting more and more like your avatar by the minute. Here's some objectivity:

Jim: 38 wins through first four years, overall avg 9.5 wins/season at UM

Bo: 38 wins through first four years, overall avg 9.7 wins/season at UM

Lloyd: 39 wins through first four years, overall avg 10.1 wins/season at UM

Jim is empirically at or near the only two other coaches you could ever say brought our program close to an elite level ("excellence," as you called it.)

I'm not going to move along. I'm choosing you tonight, because all of you Benedict Arnold MFers who sit around in your nerd chairs at your nerd computers waxing philosophic like you've got all the answers to our football team's problems need to get called out. You're the annoying little weenies who run their mouths when we are doing well and wave your flag then and only then. Loyalty is an all the time thing.

You support each other. You encourage each other. How quickly you forget.

9+ wins is slightly above…

9+ wins is slightly above average? Let's do some simple math. The average number of wins in the Big Ten this season was 6.7. We had 10. That's like saying a 100/120 is slightly above average... when a 67 is average.

Hoke and RR? Pretty sure we had to give tickets away to get fans. 0/2, homie.

Alabama & Clemson -- are they your barometer for excellence? Assuming so. Like I said, until we are willing to break rules, we aren't ever going to be on the same planet as them (or others running their program like the NFL AAA teams they are).

We just finished second in the conference, won 10 games and we're "slightly above average" according to you? I'd rather be a failed CEO collecting my buyout than just a blind rage-quit mindless fan.

Put your money where your mouth is and take that walk. We don't need your garbage neg takes.

This is one of the less…

This is one of the less thoughtful comments you've made.

In terms of business, Michigan could pay Jimmy twice as much and still collect a hefty ROI, simply in terms of the monetary value of the football program to every team there and the university as a whole.

As far as wins go... dude, get a reality check. We are in 9+ win territory on the reg with @CoachJim4UM. Unless we want to start paying kids and giving homes, cars, etc. to families, y'all need to chill with these unrealistic expectations.

Damn this board is just in over its head with these hot ass takes!

Troll. Get a life, ya loser.

Troll. Get a life, ya loser.

Defense has balled out,…

Defense has balled out, almost beyond measure, under Brown. Only two times did they get worked beyond measure, though in that time frame: when they faced offenses that were bigger, faster, and stronger (or all of the above). See: PSU 2017, OSU 2018.

It's an arms race, homie. Unless we are willing to make it GET PAID SZN and subsequently celebrate top-5 recruit classing on the reg... which we shouldn't ever even consider, by the way... we're going to lose to the Alabama, Clemson, OSU, Notre Dame, and Georgia with regularity, and beat everyone else most of the time.

I never thought I'd say this…

I never thought I'd say this, but I think the guy is just too loyal.

Watson continually getting abused and he's just left on his own for most of the day. Thomas sitting on the bench, to... rest for kickoff returns? I'm sure Coach Brown knows more than I do, but watching us on defense yesterday was beyond frustrating; we kept doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Meyer/Day had a counter for any adjustment we threw at them, and OSU's offensive line played like the 4/5 star recruits they are for the first time this season. I don't think we touched Haskins once on a passing play where he didn't scramble.

A run-first, play-action, ball-control offense is predicated on the defense not giving up 62 points. Which, for the most part, our defense didn't do all year. Or last year. Except when it faced offensive players that were bigger, stronger, faster (or all of the above). It's a really simple reality to accept, especially once you admit that OSU's 2-Deep roster would replace our starters at many positions.

Unless we want to start paying kids, paying families, and putting football above all of our ethical boundaries as a university... we will continue to be outside of the "upper echelon" of NCAA football (see: Alabama, OSU, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame).

Me? I like the team that does it right, beats mostly everyone all of the time, and upsets the cheaters every now and then. (See: 11-2, 10-3 seasons on the reg.)

Their QB hit the WRs in…

Their QB hit the WRs in stride instead of throwing at their feet or behind them all day, for one.

Hot take my man. Jedd got…

Hot take my man. Jedd got the most out of Speight's first year as starter and followed suit at UCLA. Rosen taken outside of top 10, maybe outside the first round, without him. Now he's a part of the Rams' offense? Get us some of that magic! We need it.

That game was an absolute…

That game was an absolute beat down. Outcoached and outplayed. Outside of DPJ and Collins, I can't think of a guy who even played an average game for us today.

Haskins didn't get touched on a passing play all day. Defensively, they had a response for any adjustment we threw at them. When our best guys on that side of the ball started dropping, forget about 3 stars, we looked like walk ons out there at some key positions.

Honestly, fuck everything at this point. I've been one of the biggest apologists for Drevno, Pep, & Harbaugh but I am so sick of this shit. The 10 straight wins masked a similar loss to ND, in which they too out-schemed the hell out of us. Pep Hamilton seems like one hell of a guy but there's a reason he was unemployed when we hired him.

I wouldn't care less if they blew the whole thing up at this point.

Agree completely. Saturday…

Agree completely. Saturday was one game. People need to relax. Damn.

dude epitomizes most of…

dude epitomizes most of their fan base in so many ways.

On par for a guy who runs…

On par for a guy who runs from mess he created with Gators, citing health issues and wanting to experience his daughters' lives more. Takes one of the highest profile jobs in the country at OSU 11 months laster.

Urban gonna urb. What a joke of a human.

Longtime lurker. First time…

Longtime lurker. First time poster. Because: this thread.

OSU situation reeks of low-class, he-said/she-said, Jerry-Springer type reality television. Lately, I feel dirty even reading more and more about it.

But is it a fireable offense to have kept Smith employed? To have (maybe) not consistently reported information in the appropriate way?

Given Urban's past record w/regard to upholding any semblance of character, values, ethics/morals, etc., YES, it reeks of everything this man has always shown himself to be: a winner, at all costs, with zero regard for "doing the right thing."

And we're expecting TOSU to be any different? C'mon. There couldn't be a fan base alive with a more perfect head coach to fit its culture. They truly complete each other.

tldr: urban sucks as a human. he'll be back to work asap. same as it ever was.
