No. Fuck that. It's only the rich getting richer. The amount of money they gain is not substantial that we need to prostitute ourself out like that with every little thing.
The Cubs have begun doing that and their once beautiful ballpark is now becoming the same as every other stadium.
Exactly. All the coaches have headsets on the sidelines, even at DIII and even most HS varsity games. They communicate that way because the sideline is a busy place and coaches can't stand next to each other talking to each other.
As far as the "eye in the sky", I have no idea. Probably has to be someone important though. You can't see enough from the sidelines, so the overhead angle is important strategically
Their lines will beat our lines. And lines win football games.
But we will hang around longer than we should. Oregon isn't as good as they have been u recent years, and they hung around on the road. We get MSU in Ann Arbor. I think we can keep it respectable. Maybe a 2 TD loss, with competitive action all the way through.
He got ejected for THAT?!?! Wow. I'm all for player safety, and he'll, if you wanna flag that because the QB was "giving himself up" the be my guest. But an ejection for that? What the hell?
Saying that rudock played a "great game" just because you feel that his mistakes are being a bit over scrutinized leads me to believe you come from the era of participation trophys.
Say "rudock could've been worse" or "rudock wasn't THAT bad". It conveys the same thought and it does it without claiming that 3 ints (including a game sealing pick 6) is a "great" effort
I think he looks at his other options and realizes that this is it.
Also, can't bench a 5th year transfer in his first game.
Obviously he can be benched if he continues to struggle week after week, but if Harbaugh wants to get any grad transfers again he needs to show them that he will have faith
I'm sure most of it has to do with LSA2000 doing Gods work all night, but we are surprisingly civil after a game like that. I've seen boards looking a lot worse that this.
I agree, we lacked a push and didn't not open enough holes. But I was trying to explain why it was such a struggle to do those things.
Definitely want to see us get to a point where we simply "get yards" but I'm afraid that will not happen anytime soon. I would strive for balance at the moment and work from there.
Fwfw, I was happy with most of what we saw and I think improvement will come
I agree about the jitters thing. Only play that we looked "shook" on was the dropped pass by smith in the flat. Felt like funchess last season once he stopped caring. Didn't like it, but it was isolated. I trust it won't happen again. Was more of a lack of focus than lack of effort but some would argue that those are the same thing
I agree. Big difference in that regard. It felt like we kissed opporrunities that we will take advantage of in the future, instead of continuing to piss down our own leg
Pass blocking was good. Run blocking looked bad, but that was really just a rest of a stacked box/heavy defense and an offense that could not stretch the field (although we certainly tried).
Passing game will look better, and once it does the run game will immediately follow.
Cut the turnovers and we are fine. Only real concern is rudocks arm strength. May not have enough to get the ball into tight coverage downfield. Floats the ball a lot. Can't hit tight windows. But he does look heady and knows the situation. Compared to Morris, who is basically the opposite, I will take it.
Hopefully gentry/Malone can ft some useful experiment for next season
LBs need to get deeper into their drops, faster. The dline is good enough to cheat a bit. Bolden and Morgan were biting badly on any play action and that's what hurt us over the middle and in the flat time after time. Other than that, it was a competitive, well played game defensively. Not world beaters but they compete.
Oh, and I think peppers is much more of a LB/SS than a CB. He looked kinda bad in coverage against a few different types of players. Did not flash any elite man coverage skills. Fortunately, he looked 10/10 amazing vs run and should play good zone coverage all over the field that will allow him to make plays.... But definitely a SS and not a CB
There is so much interesting stuff about this guy. You could have so many intelligent discussions about his style of offense, his style of coaching, his way of doing things, etc.
He is hardly exhibiting "world class PTSD". He simply wants to see this team win... I dunno... maybe just one game prior to going off the deep end with HARBAUGH fever. I like the guy too, but you come across as ridiculous when you say things like "Just say HARBAUGH and everything will be fine". Have you watched the last decade of Michigan football? We have been embarrassingly overhyped many times. I think it is more than fair to be a bit skeptical.

For people who preach about "the Michigan Difference" you guys sure have a strange way of reasoning.....

Actually, I wonder if they include NFL players in these stats...

You're welcome

Informative
It goes both ways. Rudock needs to be a leader and get in his WRs ear if he sees an issue early
Peer made some nice plays for a true freshman
Harbaugh lost to Utah
So we will probably make the NFL playoffs by year 4 by those standards

The screens were also an attempt to spread them out but they can only do so much w/o a vertical threat
It will come though
I know we should be able to get a yard in the ground, but we probably could've been more creative
Just saying
Basically, shut up

Right up there with the terms "spread" and "pro style" offense
Key players are...
Peppers, Harris, Smith for us.
Booker, Dimick, Norris for them.
Should be an exciting game. Glad to feel that way about a football game again. It's been a while.
Michigan 20-Utah 10

Instead, we focus on his pants.
Way to go America.
