Went to a funeral today for a Michigan buddy's mom. Came home and he found out his son got into Michigan engineering. What a day for that family. Go blue.
I watched a few of the Washington games and in my mind they pass the eye test and deserve to be a top 5-6 team. I do get the schedule concerns but the team looked fast and confident to me.
Remember seeing blues traveler at ricks in 1991. Had never heard of them but saw a friend on line who got me in. One of the all time epic concerts I've ever seen. Loved Ricks. Ashley's was second choice when I wanted to class it up.
Made my kids wait by front the door in their bathing suits for the entire last inning . Couldn't tear myself away because I just had a feeling. They know when it's Michigan not to even ask until it's over
When I was in school in the late 80s I don't think I ever attended a softball game. However because of TV and technology I have been able to watch this team over the years and it is a source of inspiration every year and has actually turned me into a softball fan. Just because we lost to Minnesota in the Big Ten championship does not diminish what a great program this is and how every other program should aspire to be as awesome as this one. When you're this good every loss will be scrutinized and every decision that goes wrong will be criticized. I guess that's a good place to be.
In mont tremblant skiing with family. Started in Bethesda Maryland and hauled ass to get to Syracuse to watch us play NoDak. Sucked to lose but at least I saw it. Enjoying learning how to ski with the family. And go blue dammit!
Taking my 7 year old to his first karate tournament. Nice to not have to worry about going into media blackout. Told him to just imagine his opponent in green and white and all will be well!
After watching this, there is no question this kid is going to be a great success in life. Stuff is going to happen to you and the majority of the world let's it get them down. But it's all about your attitude. Go Blake.

Made some penne arabiatta for the family so picked up some peronis. Forgot how nice and crisp they were. When everyone goes to sleep it's out to the backyard with the new vape pen
I was on the field for this game (my only on field experience) because my friend's brother worked for the company that handled licensing negotiations for Michigan. At one point I was standing next to Michael Phelps and Rich Eisen in the end zone and a kick off almost hit me in the head. The swings in emotion for that game were unlike anything I've ever experienced.
I live in DC and the Maryland fans I know we're not offended by John being on the sideline even though he coaches in Maryland. Only an idiot would be offended by brotherly love. Of course there are plenty of idiots to go around these days.
I am from New Jersey but thankfully got to Michigan and was enlightened. My dad cares more about Rutgers than the Giants (it's close) but he is an alumni and is probably the exception to the rule.
I was just on Costa Rica and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to watch the UNLV game on BTN2Go as people told me I would need BTN International. Since it was just UNLV I decided to wing it and hope for the best rather than signing up for a new service and BTN2Go worked the same as it did at home. Not sure if there are different rules for Hungary than Costa Rica.
I took a final my last semester at Michigan on shrooms in 1991. It was one of those 1 credit geology classes. I thought they were going to wear off sometime in the middle of the night but boy was I wrong! My two friends had to walk me in and sit me down and I barely passed! One of my great achievements!
I am going and scalped a ticket for a parking garage. A friend who went to Maryland told me there is some street parking but not very much so you better get there early if you are going to try that sort of thing. Maybe you'll get lucky if the weather keeps some people away but all the Michigan fans I know that can get there are going so hopefully there will be a lot of us! Good luck.
My wife was eight months pregnant for her first game which was against Northwestern in 2006. Miserably cold and raining the entire time. I kept looking over at her concerned that she might want to leave and she kept telling me to leave her alone so she can watch the game. One of the many moments where I knew I married the right girl. We both ended up getting the stomach flu and missing our flight home. Good memories!
I will be there with a pile of old buddies from high school all of which will be in Rutgers garb. Need to have the team make a good showing. Either way it's going to be a hell of a night. Friend I haven't seen in 20 years is having is house party afterwards. Can anyone say Frank the Tank?
Dismissal doesn't mean what it used to. Let's see how permanent the dismissal is before giving kudos to ND for standing up for academic integrity. Of course we also need to see more facts before passing too much judgment on the kids as well.
I'd say I get a "go blue" in return about 90% of the time. When I don't get it, it doesn't discourage me from doing it again next time. I'll say it until the day I die! And hopefully afterwards...
Won't miss that place. My second day on campus (I was a transfer student in summer school) I decided to be a big shot and buy a bunch of beer for my new friends in the dorm and spent the night in jail. They let me out in the middle of the night and I didn't even know how to get back to the dorm or find a cab or anything. I guess the unbelievably bad fake ID I had worked in NYC but not VC! I did come home to a sympathetic young lady who I met the first day on campus who eased the pain however. Of course I found out afterwards that VC was not a place to be messed with of you had a bad fake ID.

I was at the game (lots of fun despite the fact that we never felt in it even when closing to 6 point) and he didn't seem to be able to make sharp cuts at all like he usually does, with our without the ball. He could've made a big difference. Also, GRIII hadn't woken up yet, like he has apparently done, and become more aggressive. Wish we could play those guys again!
The Osu game and the duke game tonight. Which explains why I am still up drinking. Great bar in chapel hill called crunkletons. Phenomenal selection of cocktails and beer. had a number of founders drafts (love the red rye) and a few greyhounds with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. I was thinking wowI just spent a lot of money to see two tough losses. But goddamn I love the University of Michigan and will never stop and I know great days are ahead of us.
For me is turning into that song "na na na na na hey na na na na" that they play at every stadium - you know the one where you yell the "hey". Enough of that already! I want something original to us. We are Michigan and can figure out something unique no? Anyway I drove from DC to see the game and i would estimate the crowd as 25% buckeyes. Many more on their side of the field. And I am about 15 minutes from driving to NC for tonights game. A client got some tickets from a big time duke donor. Apparently I am supposed to not where my colors because this will get the donor in some heat. Hard to swallow but a chance to see Cameron. I find it pretty lame. I don't want the opposing teams fans in my stadium either but if they are there I treat them with the respect they earn by their behavior and personally think it would be a little less fun without at least a few of them there. Anyway go blue tonight and great win last night as well. The team has character!
I'm a '91 grad and was finally motivated to make my first post. Ive been back to AA at least once every year since I graduated and every year I not only value my degree more and more but also the amazing opportunity I had to go to such a phenomenal university. I'm headed to yost and the big house this weekend (and down to Duke a few days later for that matter) to support our team and to NOT take any shit off of any Buckeyes while I'm there! Inside I might be torn apart by what is going on with the team but I'm never going to give those misbegotten savages the satisfaction of seeing me boo my own team or acting sorry that I am a wolverine for life. Let's show them what we can do this weekend dammit!
