Not sure what Michigan's…

Not sure what Michigan's lead leg on the 4x400m was doing - just zoning out and running right up on the heels of the Purdue runner ahead of her?  Was she on her phone or something?  Is paying attention over-rated?

"If you’re looking for one…

"If you’re looking for one moment to encapsulate what happened to Michigan’s offense in this game, there you are. Michigan got Blake Corum, the slipperiest mofo in the Big Ten, matched in man to man with a linebacker who has to travel across the entire formation. It’s a two-yard loss because Nakobe Dean is a Devin Bush Jr.-level freak who can line up ready for an inside run and then show up as outside as you can get."

Nonsense!  If Cade would have led Corum with the pass (threw it in the right place), Dean would not have tackled Corum.  C'mon!

I live in Columbus.  I was…

I live in Columbus.  I was driving down High Street (yes, that High Street) and witnessed a driver run a red light and hit another car.  I pulled over and asked if everyone was alright.  I told the 2nd driver that I had caught the accident on my dash cam and I would send him the video in case stories changed.  He had noticed the Go Blue, Michigan license plate frame on my car and told me that he would never look at another Michigan fan the same way because I had stopped to help.  I told him that stopping to help had nothing to do with being a Michigan fan.  Some things transcend college football.

I would've also touched on…

I would've also touched on how Josh Ross fits into this equation.

whenever you guys are so…

whenever you guys are so cock sure of the outcome, you're usually dead wrong.  Jeez.

Can't really blame him.  Lot…

Can't really blame him.  Lot of fans just have no class.  Michigan fans are no exception.

"Again, Michigan State…

"Again, Michigan State sucked last year, and they will probably still suck this year…"  I hate these blanket pronouncements.

"I pulled the trigger on…

"I pulled the trigger on BPONE too fast this year and particularly with Patterson and Gattis."

This most likely results from not being able to view practice time.  You only get 1/6 of the information from watching the games.

If they scrapped every play…

If they scrapped every play that didn't go perfectly the first time it was called, they probably wouldn't have an offense.

I don't remember Scott Frost…

I don't remember Scott Frost having a vote.  Who cares what he said.  If anyone else was in his shoes, they would have done the same thing.  Blame the system at the time and the Michigan haters who swung the vote.

pregame sour grapes

So I got called out last week because I said that Dantonio knows and expects that the officials will let a lot of stuff go in this rivalry game and he counts on it and most likely coaches his players to take advantage.  Particulary, the officials rarely call holding.  I'll group OPI with holding.  How many holding calls and OPI calls went uncalled?  I don't know if Michigan was guilty of this as well and to what extent but I'll guess that it was not to the same extent MSU was.  So, yeah, I'll stick by what I said last week that Dantonio coaches his players to take advantage of these no calls.  Harbaugh should as well if he doesn't already.

sounds like you agree with me

otherwise this statement doesn't make sense: "Every ref has certain tendancies and any good coach will learn them along with the players on what typically gets called or doesn't."  So they gameplan for the refs is what you are saying.

All I was trying to say is Dantonio and other coaches realize that refs aren't going to call a rivalry game close.  They are going to let a lot of stuff go.  Dantonio may be better at using this to his advantage than others especially when he doesn't have the talen of his opponent.

pushing the limits

One of Dantonio's basic strategies seems to be taking advantage of the generous officiating that prevails in rivalry games.  What might be considered holding or pass interference in other games may be more readily overlooked in rivalry games.  Even if Michigan could capitalize on MSU's purported secondary issues, Dantonio will try to negate that by getting hands on the receivers throughout their routes.  I imagine he will devote more personnel to stop the run and count on officials not calling interference or holding on his pass defenders

thank god he doesn't have to use starting blocks in football

Does anyone spend time working on their start out of the blocks in high school?  I think I saw one guy in that race that did not have an abysmal start.  Maybe they were all nervous, who knows?  With a decent start, he could have been in the 10.5's.
