Yup, saw this earlier and was unsure if it was posted on a related thread.

Apparently it was to some little kid or something like that too. Not sure if true, but if it was, that’s kinda awkward.

If it was a little kid talking shit, then not much sympathy.  If the kid said something like "Giles, we miss you," then that's messed up.  Fans who talk smack to players shouldn't expect the players to respond respectfully.

I'm not a fan of Giles anymore as he no longer plays for UM, but if you wouldn't say something to a guy you were playing pickup basketball without expecting a response, you should be fine with the return fire.

He left because he was mad he lost his job. Talked Worthy into leaving as well. Also talked mega trash with Milton about Michigan. Both Milton and Giles claimed if/when they played U of M them and their teams would ball on Michigan. This is one of those situations where “u mad bro” is appropriate. Turns out their both just mediocre football players at the college level.

thats too bad didnt know that about him... kind of a lame thing to do.

I was close to the game in the college and pro level for a while... I didnt see it so much in college but in the Pro's that kind of shit happens more than you would think... the fans say some really nasty shit... these guys are human, i don't blame them for losing their shit every now and then.  They really don't deserve to hear the kind of shit that people say to them out there, and i dont think its fair to just expect all of them to internalize all of it.

All that said, i have a hard time passing judgement that some 21 year old kid is just a piece of shit or a bad person... when i think of all the stupid shit i did, and how little you actually understand about the world at that age (some less than others, granted)

I thought he transferred because he had an inflated self ego and thought he should be higher on the depth chart.

then again Justin Fields transferred because as the number 1 recruit 5 star blue chip QB he get unsafe at Georgia even though his sister continued to go to school there after he left.

I lived out near Seattle for a decade.  Seattle and Ann Arbor, while both being “college towns” are completely different types of cities.  Seattle is about 6 times larger, making comparisons silly.

Seattle size-wise should be compared to Detroit (which, duh, heavily favors Seattle).  Ann Arbor would be comparible to Bellevue or Redmond, which are suburbs of Seattle. I would take Ann Arbor in either of those comparisons.

Lived in MI for 30 years and Seattle for 21.  You could not get me to go to Seattle without a subpoena.  Needles, feces and degenerates EVERYWHERE.  Before I left three years ago, they were putting together a Heroinmobile so they could distribute free drugs and provide a mobile shooting gallery for junkies.  Funded by a $500 increase in my property taxes.  Glad I left.

To describe Seattle this way is pure Tucker Carlson. It’s a beautiful city. It has problems like an city. But it’s a great place to live, and they’re not just distributing drugs to anyone who wants them, Tucker. They’re treating addiction the way they do in many European and Scandinavian countries, an approach that works. Give them treatment and clean needles rather than prison and fentanyl death. It’s an approach that works.

My feelings aren’t hurt at all, and ‘fuck you, bitch’ after what must’ve been a tremendously frustrating and disappointing game, doesn’t bother me either.

I was responding to the dude who seemed upset that fans would make a concerted effort to boo an opposing player. I was just giving the ‘why’
