I think what hasn’t been…

I think what hasn’t been talked about enough is the success Harbaugh has had in the portal. Good recruiting and some really good transfers at key positions has become an excellent formula. Have to believe his time n the NFL impacts his talent evaluation and fit much like free agency. Much like the best NFL teams are built through the draft the basis of Michigan’s recent success comes from quality recruiting with holes being plugged in portal. Across the board the quality of athlete on your side just looks different than it did 3-4 years ago.

As an OSU alum I say without sarcasm or hidden message enjoy it. You’ve earned the right to gloat. That’s what makes this rivalry great. Unlike people in their 20s I’m old enough to see the current state of the series as the norm. Now looking at both teams having the top 2 recruiting classes in the country so far I hope we are entering a period where both programs are at their peak. Harbaugh has smartly built his program stylistically as the anti-OSU so now the game each year comes down to whoever can impose their will on the other. Should be fun moving forward.

From an Ohio State alum…

From an Ohio State alum perspective it is very simple. Right now Michigan is more disciplined, commits fewer drive killing penalties, and is more physical. Anytime either team loses in this rivalry the loser can point to mistakes they made in reasons they lost but what it comes down to right now is that Michigan was the better team yesterday. Harbaugh has created a cohesive identity that his kids have bought into. The great thing about this rivalry is that each game feels like the winning team gets the final word which it should but also the fight never ends. I lived through the Cooper years where it felt like we would never win again and I’m sure many of you felt the same way over the last two decades. Now here are two years later and the pendulum has swung in your favor and congrats on that. I mean that with no sarcasm. All of this is what makes this the best rivalry in sports and no matter who wins year in and year out it will never change. Enjoy the win I hope this changes next year but may the best team win.

I hope all of the…

I hope all of the questionable guys on each team are able to go. Full strength, best team wins is how this rivalry is at its best. Plus, as much as us fans like to talk trash and whatnot, these are kids who want to play in this game. I have a lot of respect for Corum as a person from stories I’ve heard and he deserves this game for the season he’s had. Plus, as someone who was in the Big House in ‘95 I have irrational fears that his backup is Tim Biakabutuka.

Yeah I was never a fan of…

Yeah I was never a fan of the alts for this game. I like doing alts once a year but I think this is a game that shouldn’t be touched. I have so much respect for this rivalry I like the timelessness of the normal unis.

As an OSU fan and admitted uniform geek I must say I like your all whites and anything with the maize pants. Not a fan of the blue pants (will neither confirmed nor deny that it may be PTSD from last year’s game). One of my favorite things about The Game is seeing those two iconic helmets and uniforms together on the field. Unmatched by any rivalry in sports. Going to be a whale of a game and I have no clue what the outcome will be. As it should be.

OSU alum here. I come in…

OSU alum here. I come in peace. I have the utmost respect for the rivalry and can honestly say that both teams coming in 11-0 is how it should be. I know I’m supposed to talk smack but I honestly have no idea how Saturday will turn out. I think it comes down to which team is able to impose its will upon the other.
