Hockey on my tv, softball on my phone. I'm not the biggest hockey fan, but I love the playoffs. I bet on both. Got the Lightning tonight and of course Michigan. Go Blue x2
I saw a clip the other day where a girl was accepting award during game, shotgunned a beer and then continued playing. Word is they drink throughout the game. Probably a league I could play in... But I'd have to work on my pad level
Also... DVR a lot of michigan games. My wife doesn't know much about sports and what's in season. I have a bunch of old basketball games on my DVR right now. That way if I'm having a shitty day on a Tuesday and want a few beers, and I can put the game on and tell her it's live and then she knows not to bitch at me for watching sports or drinking beer. It's an understanding that during Michigan football/basketball games I'm going to drink beer and cuss at the tv. Plus it gets you out of watching Kardashians and real housewives.
Eat breakfast. All I had was a few breakfast beers on the way to the wedding. Hour worth of pictures after the wedding, and then at the reception you have to play smiley gladhands the whole time with old acquaintances and distant relatives. I got nagged for 2 weeks about what I thought we should have on the menu and then I didn't even get a bite.
I'm a year in. Hasn't been too bad. Just pick your battles man. It's old and cliche. But just learn to let some stuff go. It's ok to let her think she's right every now and then.
I don't know what's going on man, but hope you pull through it. Football or not, you've got an army of fans behind you. Hope to see you in blue this fall, but most importantly I hope to see you well and graduating.
Lots of hoops memories. Instead of the humblebrag, I'll share what is probably my funniest-
In highschool, we had a heavyset assistant coach who split his pants all the way sitting down after a timeout and exposed his whitey-tighties. He had to coach the rest of the game with his jacket tied around his waist. He was a no nonsense type of guy and a bit of an asshole so it made it that much more enjoyable. Trying to stop giggling and getting my head back in the game was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
"When your day is going rough and filled with transfers and rumors of suspensions, reach for a Pistons Double Zero. Zero calories. Zero Carbs. Hero taste."
I'm not big on reading for entertainment purposes, but I'll probably read the books after the series ends. From what I've heard, they're moving in different directions. And I like the series and don't want to read spoilers or get the two mixed up. I actually hope they go way different directions and I can read the books as sort of a more in depth view/alternate ending sort of thing. I'm sure many disagree.
I've never read the books. But they're acting like Baratheon will easily march in to Winterfell and kill Ramses... I'm betting the opposite- Baratheon loses and Jon Snow returns with the wildlings and takes Winterfell
It's slow right now, but I like the storyline they are building up.
I apologize if I misspelled names. I haven't read the books and I'm typing on an iphone with a cracked screen. Gave it the ol' college try
I agree. I'm not a cowboys fan, but there's only 3 qb's in the league that are hands down better than him. He's no doubt top 8 and I'd say he's around 5. Romo is an elite qb.
You have to attempt to go after top 20 guys. Don't chase pipe dreams, but don't sell yourself short either. Recognizing when you're out of the race and weighing the risk/reward on waiting for top guys or moving on so you aren't left with no one is what it's all about.
I don't know why we're freaking out about Brown. It happens. Move on.
Developing players is a better longterm skill to have than recruiting. Schools get trendy and go a few years being the cool school to commit to. Cal's class is ridiculous, but our program will be better off in the short and long run.
Goodluck to Brown, but I'm looking forward to our team next year. I just hope we can stay healthy and get a chance to meet Brown in the tourney and make him regret his decision.
“We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions.”
I don't think Olynick was trying to seriously injure Love. I think there were players wearing a Cavs uniform with far worse intentions. Shit happens. That injury was a fluke. I refuse to believe Olynick's goofy ass could pull a ninja mma move on purpose and rip a shoulder out of socket. Sucks for Love. Goodluck to the Cavs. It's just part of the game.
Pac is off the juice. Hasn't ko'd anyone in years. Nobody can outbox Floyd. Pac will come out pressuring and maybe win a couple rounds early, but pbf will do what he does and cruise in the later rounds to an easy decision. I honestly don't see how it could be close. Everyone just put $220 to win $100 on Floyd and you'll get to watch the fight for free.
Eh, I like it just fine. Takes balls to follow Ledger's performance. He has to take it a different direction. I would be more concerned with the other actors in this movie. Leto will be fine
I would vote for a home night game every 2 or 3 years and calling it UTL. Honestly, I don't give two squirts of piss what they call it before the game as long as we can call it a W after
One Jimmy glare, and the truth comes pouring out. I'm glad when I came home stoned out of my mind in high school that Jim wasn't the one in the kitchen asking me where the hell I've been.
Meh, I'm married now to someone 10x prettier. If it wasn't the accent, I'm thankful for whatever it was. And I assure you, sir, I've never been on your lawn.
Had an apartment above a bar right out of college. Pretty bartender would let me drink there for hours and only charge me for a couple. Of course after trying to leave an impressive tip, I'd end up spending about the same. So really, she was the one getting the free stuff.
And no, never happened. It wasn't for lack of effort though. Stupid English boyfriends and their cool accents
