When I hear about players like this, that put up amazing numbers in high school but don't seem to get the attention that other players do, I wonder if scouts are seeing them as a finished product with little or no room for future improvement. You can be a great high school player and that doesn't translate to the next level, just how someone can be a great college player, but not really be an NFL/NBA/etc. prospect.
Let us recall the real issue here: Expansion. Life was simpler before Nebraska, Maryland, and Rutgers. (And it's not like joining the B1G has worked out great for those three either.)
My preseason expectation was 8 to 9 wins. I thought 9-3 would have been just fine given how much this team lost. I know a lot of younger guys saw the field last year, so it wasn't like, say, West Virginia, losing 43 seniors. Anyway, what is frustrating to me is the coaching staff's insistance on sticking with JOK. The MSU game is an easy win with a quarterback playing halfway competently.
I think I have PTSD: Penalty Traumatic Stress Disorder. Every time something good happens, I'm just waiting to see the flag icon pop up on the score chyron.
Even though WVU and Pitt don't play anymore (and they should), WVU fans still chant "Eat shit Pitt" any chance they get - most infuriatingly during the chorus of Sweet Caroline. Pitt fans never seemed to take the rivalry as seriously. But this will come out of WVU fans at any event: games not involving Pitt, tailgates, parties, weddings, etc.
On other games through the weekend the ESPN app worked great on my iPad, but not on my MacBook. Kept freezing on the Mac. Meanwhile, BTN2Go and Fox Sports Go apps were great on any device.
If Michigan rolls Florida, it's because Gators had so many players suspended. If Michigan loses, they're too pathetic to beat an undermanned Florida team. There will be nothing but annoying storylines from this game.
Keep it in P5. Would love to see Georgia, if only because I live in Athens. I'd also love to see some of PAC-12 home-and-homes come back: Washington, Oregon, maybe even UCLA, Stanford, USC.

How the hell is Maryland ranked no. 1? That takes away just about all credibility.
Congrats to your daughter!
Merry Christmas, and Go Blue!
