The Rock has made a few appearances back in WWE since the Attitude Era, but always as a good guy, so this has been a fun run as a heel insulting crowds and getting booed.
I'm also reading it right now. If you ever listen to a Shutdown Fullcast episode when Jason gets a head of steam (I want to say "your college football team as Biblical characters" or the Warhammer episodes are good examples), the tone of the book matches that. It's such a rapid fire literary voice that I know I'm missing stuff as I read but I think it matches that teenage idea that everything has to happen now and you want resolution and justification that what your doing is correct.
My first memory is Mercury Hayes catching the game winning touchdown against Virginia. I remember my uncle jumped so high out of his chair that I thought his head was going to touch the ceiling.
Pretty sure I was at the 21-14 loss to Northwestern in 2008, but I may have permanently removed that from my memories. I just remember rain and cold and using trash bags in a useless attempt to prevent becoming completely soaked.
I could never be a coach. Give up 450 yards, give up 50% third down conversions, AOC completing around 90% of passes in first half, and they generally had Purdue in check.
I recently read Into the Wild and your story reminds me of that journey - living out west, surviving by any means necessary. Thankfully it ended on a much more positive note.

The only win of my adult life (last 15+ years) that felt on par with this year's Game was over No. 2 Notre Dame in 2006. I remember watching that game and thinking, "Michigan doesn't beat the breaks off good teams like this."
I go: 1) Evil Empire. 2) BoLA 3) RATM 4) Renegades but agree that they are all very good. I really like the back half of Evil Empire with Down Rodeo and Year of the Boomerang being some of my favorite RATM songs.
If you say that Michigan avenged the Wisconsin loss by beating the Badgers at home, Michigan could avenge each of their other losses through the BTT. Iowa on Friday, Penn State on Saturday and MSU on Sunday.

I generally agree. They left much to be desired in regards to basic game information, especially during a play.
However, this video from last year's game (their call voiced over the game broadcast) was special due to the emotion and the deep desire to win.
