The Ten Year War Bo versus Woody
Brandy won best supporting actor, and the cinematography on US 23 is breathtaking.

A very accurate depiction on DDay in the first scenes. Loved the movie but hard to watch over and over again.
Heartbreak Ridge
Gotta love Clint in this one. The dialog was very funny at times. Great theme and plot to the movie. It was well done.
I was assigned to NATO HQ and we took our Boyscout troops visit the battlefield in mid-Dec. We camped nearby with temps down to 16 deg F. The actually temp during 1944 was significantly lower (30-40 deg lower), and it felt like we were freezing our asses off at 16F.
Remarkable gallantry in the face of terrible conditions for our WWII soldiers.
Men in War; a 1957 flick about the Korean War with Aldo Ray and Robert Ryan. Set in a two day period. Like seeing it one more time.
In Harm's Way or The Enemy Below

Not among the best but “Fury” with Brad Pitt has the scariest and most realistic tank battle scene ever done. It honestly scares the shit out of me every time I watch it. If you have a good surround sound it will blow your mind.
also, U571 has some similar scenes. Sound in that movie was first rate.
Dirty Dozen
Inglourious Basterds
