Has anyone else been a little salty his whole career? So annoying to have someone so clearly taken via tampering back when the NCAA still claimed to fight that.

Then again, the NCAA saying they will look into anything is basically like someone crawling into an active baler to see if he can get one specific thing out. You just end up destroyed on the other end, also smaller in appearance....but if you found what you were looking for, it must have been worth it.

Just a hair faster than NFL great wr's like John Ross, Rondel Melendez, Dri Archer,  and Jerome Mathis. It's almost like there are other factors that matter more than 40 times. Amon-Ra St. Brown ran a 4.51 at the combine and a 4.6 at his pro day. I'm sure all the Lions fans on here are fine with it.

It's nice to have an elite 40 time.  But if you have a record-breaking 40 time it might mean your body is too optimized to run in a straight line.

D.J. Turner ran a 4.26, and his problem (in college) was getting easily pushed around.  He weighed 178 at the Combine.

Worthy's 165. NFL corners might just press him into a hole in the ground.

OK. Hard to get too worked up about anything with him. Seems like he wanted to be here, admissions screwed him over (as they have done with others, and probably will continue to), and during his career we won a national title and he didn't.

Wish him the best in the NFL and be very glad we don't need to think about what if...

I remember talking with a TCU fan while at Disney World after the 2022 playoffs. He went to both playoff games. We got to talking about X (whom TCU shutdown in a 17-10 win in Austin) and how UM 2022 had some very good WRs (Bell, CJ, Roman, etc.) but didn't have a gamebreaker.

He didn't feel X would have made a big difference for UM because, while he would make some crazy insane catches, he also was well known for dropping key 3rd down passes that were right on the money and also mis-run a route and lead to an INT. For all his talent, he was frighteningly inconsistent.

I think the NFL mock drafts have him around 7 to 9th for WR. It's more than his small size. Maybe if he gets on a well-coached team with a good WR coach, he might be worth a 2nd round pick.

Its shows you how important 5 star receivers are.

OSU (all of them) 0-3

UM (none of them) 3-0 National Champs

Its really important our fanbase remembers this when comparing talent and team potential. Maybe we lose 3-4 games this year like many are saying. But maybe we didnt learn a GOT damn thing from 2021.

Why would I imagine something that literally either could have (a) made no difference or (b) actually led to a worse outcome? (and no, I don't for a second believe there is option (c) - won more championships because of some fast guy)

I doubt our offense would have been any different with him, it's not like we throw the ball downfield or game to take advantage of speed like that.

Not complaining obviously, we just won a fricking national championship. The kid did great at Texas and looked like he enjoyed his time there, hope he has a solid NFL career ahead of him.
