I know your comment was kinda /s but Bormet ain’t going anywhere else. He’s got the Michigan wrestling program on the right track to start truly competing with PSU. Heck they just won the b1g tournament a couple of seasons ago and were in it for the NC over PSU that season but just came up a little short. Michigan has a couple of really good freshman and Bormet has been able to get some senior studs to xfer in. If they can keep it going Michigan should be able to get close to PSU and in the mix for NCs every couple few years.
Note: As someone below said, PSU is on another level in wrestling, kinda like Georgia and Alabama have been in football.

Yeah, it’s not just their top wrestlers at each weight. Their second or even third string guys would be starters at most schools as well. Their depth is unbelievable and what really sets them apart as it increases the competition level in their wrestling room, kinda how Georgia and Alabama football teams in practice were going against really good guys on their scout teams. Just makes the starters all that much better.
Michigan wrestling used to not have that but Bormet has been recruiting very well and bringing in xfers that increase that competition level. Michigan may not ever get to PSU’s level consistently but they’ll get there some years. I fully expect at least one NC under Bormet, if not a couple.

Maybe Sainristil? Dont need to weigh much to wrestle. But linemen do have to handfight a lot which is an extremely important skill in wrestling.
