Wojo's fun-to-read piece on MSU/Dantonio was posted last last night on DetNews. So much snark I don't know where to start....
"You know it’s a lame college football weekend when the marquee matchups are SMU-Memphis (seriously) and Michigan-Maryland (not so seriously). But hey, I dug deep and found one major positive: We don’t have to spend three-and-a-half hours watching Michigan State punt the ball.
Michigan State’s season already was in smoldering ruins, to the point the black smoke in East Lansing was visible from the upper floors of the Renaissance Center. Dantonio spent 13 years building an undercover powerhouse, winning Big Ten titles and bowl games, even nearly beating Arizona State a couple times. When Jim Harbaugh came along and grabbed all the publicity, it had to chafe D’antoni, whose biggest legal concern was filing court orders to get the damn apostrophe off his name.
For many reasons, including off-the-field issues and pending lawsuits, Michigan State’s recruiting has slipped sharply. According to my addled sources, assistants now fill roster openings by posting flyers on grocery-store bulletin boards. So many Spartans have leapt into the transfer portal, the school is considering a satellite campus down there."

Yeah as much as the rest of this piece was deliciously snarky, in this day and age I really don't think players entering the transfer portal is a big deal. Honestly though all this proves is that the media will give someone a pass as long as they are winning. Mork has been a shit human being since the moment he started at MSU and the local media has largely refused to criticize him before this year.

You think Spartan fans would hesitate to pile on if the roles were reversed with Michigan? They had a chance to prove they were the bigger program years ago when Michigan cratered. Instead of being magnanimous and gracious, they became the most boorish assholes this side of Columbus. Everyone remember the Night of Juggalos invasion of Ann Arbor in 2010? They acted like a fanbase that knew this wouldn't last, so they made hay while they could. They acted like...forgive me...a little brother.
Fuck them. I'm going to watch this thing burn to the ground and I'm bringing marshmallows.

I can’t imagine their defense being very good without Bachie, and it was even kind of overrated with him. Why am I not surprised that they found PEDs at MSU.
But re: Wojo’s column, there was a little shade thrown our way, too. I think that continues to happen until and unless we can start beating OSU. This year would be a good time to start.

I don't care how bad their program is. I'm always nervous when we play them. Look at '16. They pulled to within a single score with 1 second left on the clock and then stupidly went for 2 and botched it.
I was at that game and this was my fear: 1 second on the clock. They kick the extra point and cut it to 6. On a kickoff the clock doesn't start until the ball is touched. They execute a perfect kick and cleanly field to ball and immediately go down and the clock keeper is friendly to them (where have we seen that before?). Then they execute a Hail Mary, kick the PAT and we lose by a point.
I'm not joking. That is exactly what I was thinking at the time. I still had PTSD from the '15 game.
What I'm hoping is that Michigan absolutely destroys them and their players give up in the second half. I seriously doubt that will happen though. MD always has them amped up to play Michigan.

I wonder - if we use 'Bachie'd' in place of 'botched', as a reference when someone exhibits the highest level of stupidity (as one would when knowing a random test is coming, but still test positive), the use of the apostrophe is acceptable, as in d'antonio, right?

After our Wisconsin loss (and their huge win against NW) I was getting texts from spartys asking what “we” are going to do with Harbaugh since he can’t win big games. My oh my how things have changed in a matter of a few weeks. It’s Glorious!
They see their program falling to shambles and are hoping so hard that something happens to Harbaugh. Fuck them. Ohh.. and while Im at it, also fuck the portion of our fan base that thinks we need to get rid of Harbs. You guys suck and have no idea how happy that would make our rivals.
