Who is showing they belong being a starter on this football team?

It's very easy to point out who isn't doing their job and who isn't making this team better but who is doing their job and who actually is pulling their weight and trying to make this program compete. Unfortunately I find that list very small. On the offensive side of the ball I would say Ronnie Bell has showed real heart and desire and is making plays that matter and on the defensive side I would say that Daxton Hill is doing the same. Unfortunately 2 out of 22 players actually showing heart and playing with some fire lands you squarely in the predicament that this teams currently finds themselves in. Am I missing anyone? Is there any other starter contributing at a level that would allow them to compete with the likes of OSU?

Yeah, this is a bad post.  As offensive and defensive units, they are not playing well.  Within those units, some guys are are playing well, some are not.  I see no need to shit on individuals.  You have a lot of guys playing extensively for the first time out there.  You have two stud DE's, one stud tackle, one serviceable tackle, one stud corner, and one stud WR missing.  You have an entire OL and a QB that hardly played last year.  The coaches need to put them in better positions to succeed, but I don't think anyone is quitting or not playing hard.

It's about the coaching staff. Leave the players alone. They suffer enough having to be coached by this incompetent staff. Being put in positions to fail time after time. And asked to perform assignments that they are not suited to perform.

I will not participate in player bashing and believe the folks saying the cupboard is bare are way off base. There are plenty of talented players at nearly every position on our team.
Bell, Sainristil, CJ, Jackson, Corum, Charbonnet, Evans, Haskins, All (yes, I think coaching is the problem here), Eubanks, the OL...I could go on. McGrone, Hinton, Smith, Hill, Green, Hawkins, Ross, Barrett...
The players are not the problem.

I like coaches who put players in position to succeed, regardless of their talent level. How talented did the fans think that the Glasgow brothers and Jordan Kovacs were before each of them became an important regular for Michigan?

From a relatively untrained observer’s eye (because I’ve competed only in the kind of football with corner kicks, throw-ins, penalty cards and stoppage time, and I've never had to analyze film of the gridiron variety), Michigan’s talent along the offensive and defensive lines this season isn’t close to the level of the elite Michigan lines of the past. Considering this season’s Michigan football team, those who’ve said that winning football “starts in the trenches” probably are being proven right.

The coaches decide which players “belong being a starter on this Michigan football team”.  But I don’t blame any of those players for the coaches’ decisions as to which of them should start. Moreover, starting is irrelevant. The amount of playing time is more important than starting.
