Who's got it better than us?

NOBODY!

I am thankful Jim has turned this program around. OSU is shook. Finebaum and his beloved SEC are shook.  The only way all the haters see to stopping Michigan's rise is getting rid of Harbaugh. The man built up Stanford and took down USC in peak form under Carroll. He coached Kaepernick up into a legitimate playmaking threat. He nearly won the damn Superbowl only to lose to John.  And now he has beaten OSU in 3 consecutive seasons after OSU had beaten us consistently over a 15 year stretch. Do whatever it takes to keep this gem of a coach home for the rest of his career!

Possibly Iowa. They are in their second BIG championship game in three years with an offense ranked as the worst in division 1 CFB. They have absolutely nothing to lose, and I know for a fact at least a quarter of the population of the state of Iowa will make the trek east to Indy to happily watch their team get blasted back to the days when leather helmets were state of the art football kit.

If you had told me at the start of Harbaugh's tenure that he would win 3 out of 8 games against Ohio I would have taken that and said that was about what we could fairly expect.  Never in a billion years would I have predicted that he would go 0-5 and then 3-0.  Just an amazing turn around.

Jim is doing this with top 10 to 15 recruiting classes and great portal pickups.

Yes, he is the best coach in college football and it's not really close.

Saban built a machine, Kirby has copied it, and OSU has been running a football factory for 25 years now.  Yet their success is most attributable to recruiting and whatever "advantages" and shenanigans were needed to keep the playing field tilted their way, primarily in talent acquisition.

Jim has won everywhere, and most impressively, in the NFL where parity is the norm - the QB position being the differentiator - and he won with Alex Smith and Kaepernick.

Just imagine Harbaugh and team with a few more 5 stars that fit this culture.  It's undeniable that nobody has the combination of identifying player talent, identifying coaching talent, and building tough as nails teams like Jim.

Saban was great at lil' bro U, so have to give him props as well - but he failed in the NFL.

I think we all dreamed of this day back when Harbaugh came here almost nine(!) years ago. It took a while to climb to the mountaintop but here we are.

It's great. Ohio State fans are weeping and gnashing their teeth, completely despondent at how Michigan has beaten a #2 ranked Ohio State team three years in a row. Go. Locate your time machine and tell your self of 5 or 10 or 15 years ago that you will be okay.

I remember taking time off from work just to see his press conference in late Dec 2014. Jim Hackett truly deserves a lot of credit for getting this guy while also gracefully letting Hoke, who LOVED UM, go. I remember him going to the Illinois hoops game in A2 the next day and thanking fans while saying how honored he was even though, in his words, he "hadn't done a darn thing to earn the love"

If there's one thing that brings this guy's heart to stay forever at UM, it's the love and support he's gotten for weeks now, including the "Free Jim Harbaugh" chant at the Minny hockey game the evening of the PSU win. He was smiling from ear to ear. Love ya, Jim!!!!

I think he's 100% focus on the task at hand until midnight Saturday. Then the extension is signed and announced on Monday. Let CFB playoff and bowl show and NFL have Sunday to themselves.

Get the contract signed.  Don't blow it, Michigan administration.

The smear campaign was designed to separate Harbaugh from Michigan.

Don't be so weak and vulnerable that you let dirty tactics succeed against you.  Don't be a baby seal in a world of sailors with clubs.
