Which player are you most excited to see on the field Saturday?

I saw it posted on twitter that Milton has 3 games left before his redshirt will be burned, so I thought of the players that may see the field. Freshmen or others, I am looking forward to seeing a RB that has potential to fill the void that will be leaving after this year.

Wasn't sure that it warranted a new thread, but over on 11W right now there is a write up about how Haskins is getting advice from Shea Patterson on how Sparty plays defense.....

Good call Shea. Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer

Everybody.

Hell, put in the male cheerleaders to get some reps because we're so far ahead.  I want it to be that big of a blowout that we literally pull guys out of the stands to put on some pads and go in for a series.  Every single Michigan guy gets on the field to get some experience, bar none.

I'd rather see Milton wait and save his three game eligibility for Ind, OSU, Indy/bowl game.

Would love to see Mustapha. Had a van driver over the Atlas Mountains by that name once. Mighty.

I don't think so.  There was clearly a package for him in the Wisconsin game, since he got his first game action well before garbage time.

I expect to see him in OSU in a similar role.  They may re-package the Shea / Dylan screen play as Shea / Milton, or they may give him a scripted series or something.

Hopefully the Team is more focused than we are about Rutgers. They've actually been playing halfway decent their last few games. (I think Michigan should easily win, but this might not be a 50 point laugher)

Last 2 games:

14 point loss to Wisconsin

3 point loss AT Northwestern

14 point loss to Wisconsin minus Hornibrook.

And, uh, Northwestern lost to Akron.  They benefited extensively from play sequencing against Michigan, and they may very well win the Big Ten West, but... they're not good.

The line is 40 for a reason.

Rutgers is an opportunity to work on the passing game.  I dont want to see any QB run the ball at all.

Drop Shea Back, Roll him out....go 4 WRs and work on the timing of the passing game.  Open up the playbook.  Go downfield.  Air Raid.

Why on earth would you open up the playbook against Rutgers?  Win and move on.

The angst about the passing game among the fanbase is borderline unreal.  Jim Harbaugh is not going to turn into Mike Leach.  It's just not happening.  Michigan has an offense that can grind opponents into powder, and they're planning to use it.

Michigan has beaten better defenses than OSU's without opening up the playbook.  Passes are high risk / high reward.  Harbaugh is intentionally limiting risk, so he limits the number of pass plays.  Sure, that limits the upside, but when you have a defense as good as Michigan's, who cares?  PSU would have been a shutout but for one garbage time drive; MSU would have been a shutout but for a fumble on the 7.  The best way to make those games competitive? Throw the ball more and risk interceptions / strip sacks.

Peters, Black and the depth chart.  Save Milton.  He can still play in 3 games.....we could have as many as 6 games to play (realistically 4-5).  Give Peters as many reps as possible.

My only real wish for Saturday, aside from the obvious win, is to just get everyone out of that game healthy. But as far as who I'd like to see more of:

Christian Turner / O'Maury Samuels - with Higdon leaving next year, and Evans locking down that change of pace 3rd down back, there's going to be a LOT of carries opening up next season. Hope to see one of those guys start turning some heads.

Brandon Peters - After the game is well in hand (which it should hopefully be by halftime), I'm hoping Peters gets as much action as possible, and then Milton can get a series or two at the end of the fourth. But Peters is the backup now that McCaffery is out for the rest of the year. In the event that Shea goes down, he needs to be ready.

Ambry Thomas - I know he's played this year, but he really hasn't had to play much because the three guys in front of him are just so good. Would like to see him get some more reps so he's that much more ready to go next Fall.

Jordan Anthony - got really excited by his commitment a few years back. He's got that sideline to sideline speed that Bush has, and he'll have a big opportunity to move into a starting role next Fall if Bush declares early. Hoping we can see a glimpse of what made him a five star talent.

It's important to keep in mind that travel roster limits the number of underclassmen who will be in uniform and available to play. I doubt we really see too many of the future stars if they are not currently getting time as backups or in special teams.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hutchinson in some extended time.  I thought he looked really good early in the year and hasn't played a ton since.  It doesn't really count, but I also love watching Uche play.

Cam McGrone is the other one that comes to mind.

Even though he will be playing, looking forward to Mason steamrolling for 3+ TD's.  Would like to see Van Sumeran get some reps at FB.  Would be fun seeing them together in a Power I!

I'd like to see the choo choo train formation again. But that may be best saved for Indiana where the home crowd can appreciate it.

Excited isn't the word I'd use but the player I most want to see on the field on Saturday is Peters.  He is now our #2 and absolutely needs to get meaningful snaps.
