What A Weekend!!!
Ive been following Michigan Athletics for Deacdes...(Many)..I have never seen in a 72-96 hr span so MANY GREAT Michigan performances in wide and varied sports as happened this weekend and hopefully tommorow the womans BB team advances to their own Sweet 16..
Heres what went down:
Mens BB advances to 5th conseutive Sweet 16 (Be honest who,saw that coming)
Womens BB on verge of 2nd consecutive Sweet 16 (won first ever hosted tourney game)
Mens Hockey wins B10 Title and probable #1 Overall NCAA Seed
Mens Wrestling Finished NATIONAL RUNNER UPS
Mens GYM Clinches share of BIG TEN TITLE
Womens Gym WINS B10 Title
Womens Swim finishes #7 at NCAAs
Thats just this weekend!!!!
In Analyzing the All sports standings this year and where we sit right now and where Stanford sits we have a VERY GOOD CHANCE of winning the whole thing this year..Our spring sports will score fairly well and we can with this thing in 2021-22
I think this is the year we break the stranglehold

And Mens Tennis Beat #2 OSU on Friday night!
I forgot to Add Mens Tennis...in about a 1 week span or so theyve beaten the #1 TCU, #2 OSU and today beat #6 Baylor..Add that team to the pot of national contenders..there EVERYWHERE
They also beat unranked UCF and #16 Columbia between TCU and OSU.
Some added context. They beat TCU 4-1, Columbia 7-0, OSU 4-0, and Baylor 4-0. Just dominance.
it's been a great sports weekend. OSU also lost in the bb tourney and I know it's not michigan related, but Ferrari finished 1-2 in the first race of the F1 season so I'm loving it. If only a meteor could hit the sparty / duke game I would have joy overload.
I’m a Mercedes F1 fan so I wasn’t thrilled but Ferrari hasn’t won in a loooong time…
Have they ever lost? That would be a great, great win considering it's not quite fair...
Great weekend to say the least. It would be crazy to actually knock off Stanford and win the Directors Cup. Go Blue!
Actually, Texas knocked off Stanford last year and we finished third. But it would still be cool to win it for the first time.
Also Ohio State lost!
And MSU is about to suffer the same fate!
Not so sure OSU losing is a good thing for us. Would rather be facing OSU than Villanova
I tend not to like conference matchup / rivalries recurring in the NCAA Tournament, even though on occasion, flukes of bracketing have made them unavoidable.
Let’s get a Notre Dame loss to have the perfect weekend.

And I found out my sister in law is pregnant. She's Aerospace engineering c/o something. She works at JPL now. Anywho, that takes the pressure of me since I don't want children, but felt guilty for my MIL who wants grandbabies.

Ugh. There is a ton to unpack. But they live in Pasadena so hopefully I can just throw money at it. (SIL and I aren't what most modern languages would consider close.)
Don't forget that Harvard hockey won its conference tournament to block OSU from the NCAA tourney.

Four straight B1G losses yesterday (and I don't really feel bad about any of them. ) Fortunately, Purdue came through. So, it's us and the Boilers to uphold B1G pride.
Warde deserves props. Really. It's on his watch. Must be benchmarking well.

Fritz just beat Nadal at Indian Wells to win the championship- the biggest win of his career by far.
I don’t know if it’s the best. There have been some others.
But it’s awesome.
I don’t have time to do this, but comparing this with other great weekends would be a great diary.
An amazing run and hopefully next weekend is just as bountiful.

When I was in Vegas in May I put down a lot of money on two bets: the Rams winning the Super Bowl, and Michigan winning the national championship. So far, so good!!
