It'd be nice to see a clip of the hit in question. I remember hearing something to the effect of "lowering his nose into his face" in one of the postgame clips. I don't remember seeing a targeting, but that sure sounds like targeting.

I said this in an earlier thread but my theory is the forehead pad might have slipped down and smashed the bridge of his nose. I've had it happen to me before in my playing days. It doesn't feel good.

Penn State played hard today and didn't quit. They just didn't have the talent, but they had heart.
I like this, Coach Franklin had his guy's back and I don't blame that player for not wanting to hear shit from someone in the stands after a game like today.

No, you don't get that good with bad coaching, just doesn't happen. They have very good coaches, Franklin just isn't the best game day coach. Makes some weird pressure time decisions that always seem to burn them.

PSU is good and Franklin is a good coach. They just ran into a freight train.

PSU is a good team almost every year. Top 20 team
Franklin is 86-37 (0.699 win %) and 14 of those 37 losses are to Michigan and OSU
his two main problems are occasional bad in game decisions and he has to play OSU and Michigan every year

Franklin is ok and runs a fine program.
He is a horrible in game coach.
They never develop their OL despite a steady diet of 4* and 5 * recruits.
They also never really develop great QB play which could be a by product of poor OL line coaching.
Franklin beats the teams he should but typically loses to teams with equal or better talent.
Penn State could be more and Franklin is not the coach who will get them there.

Classless from the fans. Really fair weather. It’s fine to criticize but the stupid catcalls harassment right after the game is disrespectful even if they are correct. This is true of our fans also. No one goes out there trying or thinking they are going to lose but one team will.
The proper place to express anger and seething resentment and useless hypothetical Monday morning quarterback hawt takes from people who know nothing about Xs and Os is in a forum like this one on Mgoblog. Because when you are here you are family, however dysfunctional that family may be😆.
