What are some occasions when Michigan was the beneficiary of bad officiating?

Great catch, but no catch.

the game winning field goal in the 2012 Sugar Bowl, always made me feel a little uneasy.
Then again, I think the 2012 team used up Michigan's luck quotient for most of this decade, and we are still in a deficit.

But the topic is games where we benefitted from poor officiating.

Trey Burke still hasn't touched their guard on the fast break.

I was having a conversation with somebody who had all their posts deleted. He did call me a f**ker....but it was in good fun. Wow.
Now I look like I'm crazy.

Our DB (Warren?) was in a tie possession with the WR for the ball, and normally that favors the offense, but the refs called it an interception.

I still think Roy Roundtree blocked that ND dude in the back at the end of the cloaking-device Gallon play that set up Roundtree's winning TD reception in UTL.

Yeah, I still can't look at that play without covering my eyes. Would have been very easy to call a block in the back. I've seen it called for far less.

Harry Banks did cross the goal line on third down against OSU in 1973, The officials ruled that he didn't score and Michigan lost 14-11.
Charles White fumbled the ball at the 2, the ball never crossed the goal line, Michigan recovered, and the officials ruled that White scored a touchdown. USC won 14-6.
Saturday's officiating was worse.

I will never forget how Orenthal James said that he thought that it was a good thing that the refs blew that call.

...however, looking at that GIF at least 3 times just now, you could possibly say that there illegal motion on michigan or that a Northwestern player was offside...or both...I know a couple of people that were at that games that said that Northwestern was robbed of that game.

Some of you suffer from either reading comprehension or just don't know what "beneficiary " means.
This is not true- it is when a person is successful at aquaculture

Wangler to Carter with no time left on the clock was set up by an 18 yard intentional fumble pitch out of bounds to no other than IU coach Corso!! (3:00 minute mark)

throw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock in 1979. Officials had to determine if it was intentional. Bo totally had the officials scared and ruled Reid's throw was unintentional.LOL.
The biggest irony is that UM had one timeout left and Reid wasn't sure so he threw it out of bounds.

Stan Edwards "fumbled" the ball out of bounds with about five seconds to go. As the RB on the play, he essentially tossed the ball out of bounds from several yards away.
The next play was Wangler to Carter and "will be heard for another 100 years of Meeechigan football!!!" Lee Corso, the Indiana Head Coach that day, is still bitter about the "fumble."
