Week 1 to Week 2 is always the most improvement

I have heard this over and over again on various networks. Leave it to Harbaugh to buck that trend. They went backwards and should have lost to an inferior team. Fortunately their QB made 2 bad decisions that cost them the game.

Yeah that's what scares a lot of us because that adage is true.  So many unforced errors..  How does a senior line up offside on one of the most important plays of the game???  Jeebus...

Maybe, but I don't think there's a single objective reason to believe that's true.  Once the game goes to overtime, it's a coin flip.  Even if you are 10x as good as your opponent, you can still fumble, or take a sack, or have a holding penalty-- in overtime, a single play can win or lose the game, and even very good teams executing at a very high level have bad plays.

If they were capable of playing better on offense, they would have started doing so at some point, certainly by their last couple of drives.  Those runs up the middle on 4th down getting blown up in the backfield are absolutely the plays that the coaching staff had the most confidence in.  They were not saving some special "pick up 2 yards when we need it" for Wisconsin, tied with Army in the 4th quarter.

It’s a dumb cliche that is un-falsifiable. It also takes a bit of a holiday because Army’s system requires you to invest a lot of time to prepare for something you’ll never see again (don’t schedule service academies!).

But yeah I’d expect more from the offense.

Stop turning over the ball, and it’s a different game.

I don’t know if that’s a practice issue or a playcall issue or what, but it’s making us look like a Hoke coached offense.

What most surprises me is the fact that Shea looks totally uncomfortable and this was supposed to be the type of offense that he runs the best is it because he is hurt or what he just doesn't seem to be playing all that well right now.

My god, can’t imagine this board if Michigan lost...enjoy a fucking win against a team that the board was scared as fuck over for the past 9 months?

Do you watch football? It’s not about the win I don’t care if Michigan came back to win by 20 the offense is a shot show. Army is not Alabama or Clemson or Ohio state or even Michigan State or Wisconsin. We are in deep trouble right now we have one week to fix this mess. We played horrible. Army made a lot of mistakes that’s the only reason we won

This is just Michigan fans making more and more excuses. It’s Shea’s fault it’s borges fault it’s peps fault it’s okorn speight...... we need to wake up and realize maybe harbaugh isn’t that good. This is not a hawt take this is a fact

Tired of all the hype Harbaugh gets all off season. He has done nothing great since he has been here. They make more mistakes than any other team. Also the play calling is horrible. I think it’s time for a change. I wonder if the nfl is still interested in him.

The full rule is "biggest improvement is week 1 to week 2, except when there is a subsequent bye, in which case the biggest improvement is between week 2 and 4".

Trust the full rule, not the incomplete short version.

According to the full rule, we will be fine by Wisconsin.
