WBB game tonight postponed due to weather
First time I've ever heard of this but given that it's currently warmer in Antarctica than Ann Arbor, I guess it's not that surprising.
From MGoBlue-
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan has postponed its women's basketball game with Iowa on Thursday, Jan. 31. The postponement is due to continuing inclement weather and the university remaining closed until early Friday morning.
The game will be rescheduled at a future date.
Tickets originally printed for Thursday's game will be valid for the rescheduled game, or as a general admission ticket for any remaining regular-season women's basketball game this season. Tickets may be exchanged at a future game at the gate.

It is going to be 52 degrees in Ann Arbor next Monday. Crazy.

Yep, seems totally fine and normal to me. 60° temp change in 2 days. Just like always.

People need to start understanding that the jet stream is broken due to consistent hyper-heat in the Arctic. It's actually not that complicated but shame on our media for not even trying. Unfortunately we are on a one-way street. We used to pollute the atmosphere, we are now changing the atmosphere. Big difference.

It's not a secret that the climate is being geoengineered. My senator admitted it as did John Brennan. It's not just the USA who's doing it. It really ramped up in the late 90's.
The arctic is being heated by constant aerosol cover and there are also thousands of smaller HAARP installations across the globe.

I heard the axis of the earth is changing and the new North Pole is Columbus.

And since Columbus =Hell, this means hell may finally freeze over

You heard wrong. Columbus is actually the earth’s asshole.

Meanwhile Iowa's classes are resuming in about an hour, so looks like the game Friday will be good.
January 31st, 2019 at 12:03 PM ^
That's the plan, but they made that call (to suspend classes until Noon Thursday) early in the week. Right now, it's still -8 actual/-27 wind chill. They may not start them up at noon as planned, we haven't heard anything yet, so who knows. Tomorrow it's expected to be in the 20s and back in the upper 30s/low 40s over the weekend, so the game should be fine for Friday night.

At least we won't have anyone on the board tonight calling for Coach Barnes-Arico to be fired

I'm surprised they cancelled the game. The gophers and Illinois played their game last night in colder weather.

As someone who lives in Columbus, it feels like the north pole here...

Jesus thats just terrible.
Hundreds of family members of players.... i mean fans.... are going to have to rearrange their plans to see the game.

I can't speak for Illinois, but the undergraduate dorms at Minnesota are about a 10 minute walk to Williams arena. Crisler can be 45 minutes or more from the further dorms in Ann Arbor.
January 31st, 2019 at 1:42 PM ^
The only other postponement due to weather at Crisler Arena that I can recall is a men's basketball game against Purdue that was postponed from Thursday, January 26, 1978, to Monday, January 30, 1978, due to snow.

Update: the game has been rescheduled for tomorrow at Noon at Crisler.
