Warde Lowballing Howard?

Take it for what it's worth. Maybe someone plugged in can verify or dispute this. Lets get this deal done, and retain Yakich while we're at it. Not the time too pinch pennies.
Edit: Corrected format below. Veracity of source, dubious yes. But Moss was plugged in about the Harbaugh search. Im just wary the longer this drags on.
Edit: Seems like a crock of shit now, deal confirmed at 5 years.
Fixed, my apologies.Sources: Warde Manuel has lowballed Juwan Howard and he is NOT happy. https://t.co/mnOCNde5AH

Not sure how reliable a source Moss is when it comes to U-M sports.
Moss' sources are likely disgruntled staff members, players or family members venting their frustration and their side of the story. A "lowball" offer is likely the starting point which will then be countered until they hit a final number (ie. They're negotiating).
His source is a current regent at the university. I'm not saying this particular news item is totally solid but as far as non-Brian sports bloggers go, Moss is probably the most credible when it comes to Michigan athletics because of who his source is.
Based on the announced contract terms, I think Moss was pretty accurate in his take.

1) the source has been historically dubious. (Meaning Detroit Sports Rag, not the OP)
2) Michigan isn’t going to put it out there that there is a formal offer if they were not pretty close. Not the way they do business I guarantee there was some kind of discussion of numbers before a formal offer was made. Warde wouldn’t want the egg on his face to have an offer turned down
Think Brian just confirmed this! Whew, disaster averted.
<blockquote class="WTF, I can't understand your post because it's too difficult to read!" data-lang="en=/sarcasm"
You have violated just about every single rule that needs to be followed when starting a thread.
Other than that looks great.
My bad, yeah it looks horrible. Haven't posted in this new format for a while, do you know how I fix this? Thanks.
Plus if it comes from Moss that's a highly dubious source. I don't know if we really have mods here, but this one may want removal.
I second this. Burn it with fire.
Dracarys
<sprays super soaker 500 everywhere>
So just to verify, can we still not edit OP's I assume? Seems like that would've been a bigger priority to fix than the upvoting and downvoting of OPs.
Hey....Nice work with the embed there OP.
Seriously though - that exact thought crossed my mind as this thing drags on. "Did Warde try to get Howard for cheap" a-la the Lakers with Ty Lue? The source blows so not reading into the tweet but that would explain why this isnt official yet.
I REALLY hope that's not the case here. Withholding any further comment until we know more.
Edit - we know more. This is garbage.
Warde wants Jason Kidd to be the assistant head coach.
My sources tell me Warde wants Jason Kidd to be the assistant to the head coach.
same thing.
Could you imagine what would happen on this blog if Warde indeed lowballed Howard and he walks?
Hello: Chaos
Even worse, lowballed Howard walks AND we lose Yaklich to Texas.
Just burn the whole program down at that point.
I believe that's what we call "Wednesday" on this here blog.
Maybe Howard’s highballing Michigan? We need to save some money to pay Yaklich and some assistants with some knowledge of recruiting.
There is enough money around to do both
I highly doubt The University of Michigan Athletic Department needs to "save some money" in order to pay their head coach and his assistance.
I knew it. Warde has missed the dunk.
If you read Moss's Twitter feed, he's been upset about basically everything in this process (and upset about a lot of non-Michigan topics too) so we may want to take it with a grain of salt.
OMG Moss=Maizen
The posting resemblance is uncanny.
It is far more fun to fly off the handle about every single tweet
Moss is generally upset with basically everything on earth.
Well, to be fair, Earth is kind of a shitshow isn't it?
That's his schtick. I've never seen him actually happy about anything sports related.
Then again, you can understand that if you've been following Detroit sports.
But Moss obviously hates Ken Holland.
Sports are our soap operas.
Like sands through the hourglass...
"Sources" lol
"Jeff Moss" lol
From what I can see in the OP the only advice I can give is to dismiss Jeff Moss as the hack he is.
This is like if 1201 was a twitter feed.
Is Maizen Moss and Moss Maizen?
All I can decipher out of that alphabet soup is that someone named Jeff Moss from Detroit Sports Rag apparently posted it.
Anyone know anything about the veracity of the guy?
He is an ass clown
And also not known for being a very good source..........as well as being a clown who revolves around the rectum.
That sounds exactly like something Detroit Sports Rag would report. It's vague, really can't ever be verified, and no matter what happens they can't ever be proven "wrong."
You never see these guys report verifiable information, like "Harbaugh will be Michigan's head coach." It's always "so and so is really unhappy and is considering leaving the program" or something. Basically not much different than Yoder
There is obvious urgency but have some patience. I’m sure there a few details to consider.
Tripping at the finish line would be a very Michigan thing to do. Just get this shit done already FFS.
