Visiting College Park, MD for UMich game

Submitted by sarto1g on

Regrettably, I don't have any hot takes to throw out there regarding last week's game.

However, I am making the trip to College Park in a few weeks and wanted to hear from experienced fans on what to expect and if there is any extra advice.

Any Michigan tailgate spots?

Where to eat?

Best place to sit in the stadium?

Any fun Maryland traditions to gaze upon?

Anywhere worth stopping on the way from Metro Detroit to the final destination?

Thanks in advance.  Go Blue!

I went a few years ago and it was great. A little cold - but we sat in a section with unlimited food and heaters. If you can score those tickets for cheap - go for it - unless you want to sit closer to the field. We pre-paid for parking - I reccommend that.

....any thoughts on Looney's as a sports bar? Specifically interested in the College Park location.

Depending upon our Kickoff time, I was thinking of watching other CFB games there.

Decent food/drink? Safe for visiting fans?

TIA

There is a new MGM casino in Fort Washington, MD.  It's about 20 minutes from College Park via the Beltway. going towards Alexandria.  The National Harbor complex over there is pretty sweet.  Everything over there is less than 10 years old.

Wolverines - I'm at my wits end.  The Terps are so JV that there isn't enough parking, and there is zilch for sale on the resale markets.

Are there any Wolverines out there with extra parking passes?  I'm looking for 2 passes in a lot for Saturday.

I'll pay a premium.

Thanks!
