Vegas Line Has Michigan -12 v Sparty

Glad to see this - nothing good happens when we are over two touchdown plus favorites versus little brother.

I think we will cover and more - but I have had no luck in Vegas betting on Michigan, and will stay off it.  Just wondering who would take Sparty and 12 points.

Interestingly, Minnesota is a 2 point dog at Iowa.  Not much respect for the new #7 in the country.

When you have little brother down - stomp his ass and keep him there permanently.  Go Blue!

They lost a couple more players to injury yesterday, but the odd thing is that their offense played quite well. Clearly, they may be very disillusioned, but they are playing for pride and need to win two of the last three to make a bowl. I wouldn't be surprised if the line tightens, either, given the closeness of these games and the way that Michigan has recently disappointed Vegas.

Curious how others see this.

Illinois was without two starting LBs and couldn't stop the run. MSU lost largely because they only scored 6 points in the second half.

MSU's offense still has a lot to prove. They did find a functional RB. The gulf between them and their defense has evaporated, but it's the defense that gets most of the credit for that.

Or maybe just a ton of respect for Iowa at home. Kinnick Stadium does weird shit to road teams.

I think you're missing the point of what "little brother" means.

BTW, OSU is actually the youngest of the three institutions (founded in 1870).   And considering that they give out gold pants for beating us, refuse to call us by name and even wrote a song about how much they "don't give a damn" about our state . . . even Sparty isn't that little brotherish.

FWIW, a short while ago I noticed that the line is only -10 1/2 on ESPN's college football schedule. I had been expecting us to be favored by about 17.

Don’t think I’ve ever won a bet on a Michigan game. Whether it’s for or against them. Just a total mush

I've talked to a lot of fellow Michigan fans who are still nervous about the game next week.

Guys, it's ok to be confident that they're going to kick state's ass.  It's long overdue and you know the team is going to relish this opportunity.

38-0 Michigan.

There’s nothing about Michigan’s offense that makes me sure they will kick ass consistently.

A bad game from Shea is all it will take to make this game scary. On the other hand, a good game from him makes this a likely rout. I’m just not confident in him.

No way the line gets released at less than a 2 touchdown Michigan favorite.

Bovada and other big books will probably release the game at -18 Michigan.

State always seems to be up to play hard against Michigan. Hopefully at this point in their season State comes out flat and gets steam rolled.

ESPN FPI gives Michigan a 84% chance of winning, anyone know if their a way to equate that to a point spread?

Cue concern trolls:

"Its their Superbowl"

"Us against the World Mentality"

"Playing for their embattled coaching staff"

"Michigan always gets their best game"

"Been practicing special plays for Michigan all year"

"Sparty always plays Michigan close"

"Weather machine"

Cue current team mentality about Sparty:

Anyone know if Stewart is expected back this week or not. Without him they are going to be hurt big time in the passing game. Collins is a good RB but mostly against average to bad defenses.
