Using 1 positive COVID test to duck out of tough opponent [Ed: Nope, Dabo is wrong, locked.]

Dabo not mixing words over FSU's last second cancellation of the game by visiting Clemson.

[Ed-Ace: Clemson had a player on their team flight who was symptomatic all week and tested positive. Since we're not mixing words, Dabo Swinney is wildly irresponsible for saying FSU—which has already shown its willingness to lose big during a COVID season while shorthanded—did this for competitive reasons. Locking the thread.]

“This game was not cancelled due to COVID” says the guy who just had his entire team sit on an hour flight with a sick COVID patient.

Ok, Dabo.

I'm actually with FSU on this one. The player showed symptoms for much of the week and then traveled with Clemson up for the game. By this point we all know that one can have the virus, show symptoms and not test positive so there's no telling how many Clemson players could have it and not be testing positive yet.

FSU's obligation is to its players, not to help Dabo rack up some style points by thumping them to work their way back into the CFP.

I saw this last night and I just cant decide who is at fault here. I mean Clemson had a backup OL test positive on Friday, so wouldn't that be a cause for concern for the opposing team?

I mean he traveled with the team. It's easy casting blame on FSU bc they are shitty, but I just see it in a different light than some people.

If FSU was 5-1, would anyone say they were trying to duck Clemson?

Yes, we all know Clemson would have won by 50, but I just find Dabo's comment somewhat out of line.
