OT I know but damn if it doesn't require a PhD in "New MGoBlog" to embed anything, picture, gif, etc.
Thanks for this valuable post with a link /s
Nevermind you just added it
No worries, tried to be clever and add as a summary when it wouldn't insert in the body of the post.
I should never attempt to clever, or to technology, or to post, or.....
Nice link. Also, I thank you for the detail in the OP. Clear, concise, and great material.
Edit: there is the link. Just put it in the OP. I don’t understand why folks create a thread and then reply to it with a link.
I guess you didn’t read his reply. He tried putting it in the op but it didn’t work.
Urban can resign or change this sign in the locker room. I’m good either way
This article really does summarize what I hate about Urban and I think is reason that recruits like him so much. He puts on this weird, holier-than-thou persona and that he's such a great person and mentor, but then shit like this continues to happen and he can use his facade to cover his ass and make any bad thing that happens to his program a learning experience or redemption or whatever you want to call it with no punishment for the individuals involved
Does Meyer come off as 'holier than thou'? He seems amoral at best.
He puts on this facade of being holier than thou to the people who can't see right through it. Some people care more about success and wins than morals
Worth repeating, tough week for urban....
I was so confused who I wanted to win that game less, but when MSU beat OSU and gave UM fans their favorite meme, it became crystal clear
Urban Meyer and Papa John; two giants of their time finally seeing justice for being assholes.
He quotes scripture quite a bit and he rode the crap out of Tebow's brand of faith-based footballing when he was at Florida.
My hope is the dummies at OSU circle the wagons. No firing.
Then a Title IX investigation cloud. Then nailing OSU with multi-year wins vacated and a multi-year Bowl, Big Ten Championship ban and finally a multi-year period with less scholarships.
This would do the most damage to OSU. So let him slide Buckeyes!
1 Quarter suspension vs. Oregon St. at a maximum. Book it. Seen this act before - see MOO U scandal for reference.

“They are too big to fail”
Not a chance in hell. Gene Smith is still the AD, correct? That cat is as crooked as they come. Ole' Uncle Urbz ain't going anywhere.
Better slam...
Bernstein: Only An Idiot Would Believe Urban Meyer
https://670thescore.radio.com/bernstein-only-idiot-believe-urban-meyer-…
That corrupt idiots name is Gene Smith
This quote was eye opening from Courtney Smith when asked why her husband was not fired she said “because Zach can take the whole program down”
You mean Urban didn't resign at 3:45 like someone said in another thread?! I'm shocked!
B1G East is certainly number one in scandals.
Causality or Causation to on-the-field results?
Cheaters tend to prosper...for a while...until caught.
Extra practice time is so boring now. Everybody else really upped their game.
I also wonder if there simply is more local scrutiny on some of those programs. Like, I have a hard time believing there aren't terrible people in the ACC and SEC, but they've largely stayed above the fray.
Begs the question, why would Urban keep this guy around who wasn’t even an exceptional coach? Plausible answer guy has major dirt on Urban and the program and used it to his advantage to keep his job.
Earle Bruce
That’s exactly what Courtney Smith claims.
I was about to post the same thing. I know he has family ties to the university and program but that should not have been enough to makeup for his mediocre coaching. He was at Florida with Urban and you have to imagine that there is even more uncovered dirt from those days; couple that with what might have gone down in Columbus, he may have been too much of a loose end to let out in the public
Per his wife's suggestion that he could take the whole program down with him, perhaps he knows where the bodies are buried.
If he is, say, the guy who coordinates booster payments, that's a guy you don't just knife.
We're giving his wife a lot of credence for that statement, of course, but she doesn't necessarily know what her ex-husband was involved in, just that he believed he was indispensable. Given that he's the kind of guy to make death threats and cut and beat and choke her, I'm not necessarily inclined to believe that he always tells the truth about other things.
I find it more plausible that this guy is a loose cannon and Urban felt it was important to keep in under his roof vs risk having him our in the open with all of potentially damaging information.
It was a Fredo situation. Surprised Hernandez didn’t handle it.
Yeah, It seems like he drank a lot and maybe this is something he said when drunk. Also, no doubt shady shit has happened at OSU since he as been there but it is more likely that that type of statement would be more about what happened at Florida
Beyond the Bruce connection, I 100% believe that a guy who gets into multiple Twitter beefs with teenagers every season and is by all accounts a monstrous asshole would also be vindictive. And considering all the stuff we learned about Meyer at Florida, I'd have to assume there are equally bad issues at OSU.
Harbaughs can't beat his rivals.....at being gross people
Osu’s silence is deafening.
So are the trolls. Looks like all this bad OSU news drove the trolls back to their own boards
Here are some more.
Matt Hayes at Bleacher Report, and linking to his old takedown of how Urban destroyed Florida.
Michael Rosenberg (YTMR) at Sports Illustrated.
Question for those with more knowledge than I on such matters. If in fact Urban's wife didn't tell Urban or anyone at OSU after learning this and she is an employee at OSU could she be in trouble for not reporting this?
Administrative leave.
Most definitely. She is employed by the university and required to report. The best case scenario for OSU is that she takes the fall...just can’t see that happening.
I feel like I should send this link to Sam Webb. He's been complaining on the radio since last week that there's been no media coverage of this (and the John Reske thing at MSU) because they've been too obsessed about Harbaugh's thoughts on chicken.
I'm going to enjoy listening to him tomorrow.
Which is worse - Urban's attempts at shining a turd and calling it redemption, or Mike D'Antoni ignoring the turd ever existed in the first place?
Which is worse - Urban's attempts at shining a turd and calling it redemption, or Mike D'Antoni ignoring the turd ever existed in the first place?
So in the East you have molestation of young boys at Penn State you've got rape and molestation of young women at Michigan State now you have blatant disregard for women of abuse at Ohio State and there's Rutgers with all their issues and then Michigan with their love of whole milk and fear of eating chicken which is not like the others but gets more press
Clearly, this is a disaster of a situation that transcends the boundaries of football and we should be concerned for all of the affected parties.... but one has to assume that this will have a positive impact for our head-to-head recruiting battles with ohio.
