Updated W/L Prediction Thread

Always good to get a win, this reminded me of the Wisconsin game in 2016, a few missed kicks a way from a comfortable win. However, being realistic, no way we beat Penn State in two weeks. Good news is, Notre Dame and maybe Penn State won’t be must wins. Penn State has to play at OSU, at Iowa, and at MSU. OSU still has to go to Wisconsin,  and currently are in a tight one with MSU. I have us 8-3(PSU and Notre Dame losses) going into the final week with a Winner take all game against OSU. This team doesn’t need to make the playoff just beat Ohio State.

OSU and those receivers are just too good, they are executing in every phase of the game, I dont even want to play them right now. They will go undefeated easily going to the playoffs, they are just so far ahead of any other Big Ten team right now it is laughable. 27-10 at half, Rolling Sparty right now.

7-5 at best

A team that can only muster 10 pts at home against a team that turned the ball over 4 times isn’t going anywhere.

I suspect that you are giving Pennsylvania State University with coach James Geoffrey Franklin way too much credit.  Michigan finally makes a statement in University Park/State College.

14-1 and I am sticking to it until proven otherwise.  Hell, I just can't take a more realistic approach with that much talent on the field and running so poorly.  I also assume Dwumfour stays healthy.  OSU is at home and la la la la la I  can't hear you.

9-3 if we pass damn vertical and bench big Mike ( who has been horrible ) ! That big and can’t even get a push what so ever . 7-5 if I had to lay money down ! The opponent knows exactly what play call is coming and we continue to try and run into more defenders and blockers ! This is the same Jim look ever since Jed left ! Need to kick some fire is jay’s ass to get his rbs up to hold on to the football

I'm drinking more Michigan Kool Aid after today's defensive masterpiece.  We have talented wide receivers, and have to figure out a way to make that pay dividends for the team.  9 & 2 or  8 & 3. Don't know about post season.  Pretty tough schedule.  Offense will have to pick it up, and I think they will.  Michigan should be in every game with with its defense.  Very impressed with the ballers on D.  Paye, Danna, Hutchinson, and Lavert Hill and the whole defense made a lot of big plays today.  Lot of M helmets at the ball.  Also think Dax Hill is already ascending  into a very good collegiate player with a very high ceiling.  Need to make our field goals though.  16 - 3 would have felt more convincing, but still an excellent win today.

8 wins at best. I don’t see how we beat PSU, ND or OSU. Honestly, MSU may be getting blown out but idk how we score against their defense... we simply don’t get the multiple chunk plays that OSU does, nor do we run an actual up-tempo offense that has given them problems tonight. I’d take us 13-10 in that game since it’s home but I’d only bet a vending machine lunch on it... it’s kind of sad, I’ve only seen us beat OSU once and have never seen us win a Big Ten championship since I’ve been old enough to care.

People are giving to much credit to dpj, nico, and tarik.

Nico and tarik are possession receivers.  Insanely slow, and black has horrific hands.  He's dropped 4 td passes this year already?

Nico catches everything but is too slow to get open ever.

Dpj has good top end speed but still isnt the same as last year after his injury.

Our offense doesn't have anyone that is a game breaker

So many people are talking about Nico, Tarik and DPJ being such "great" WRs on our team. They do seem very good.

I'll admit that Nico and Tarik fit the image of big strong possession NFL caliber WRs. Though that doesn't necessarily make them good seed in space college wide receivers and DPJ might be slower now.

You need those quick twitch muscle speed jitterbug type WRs to really make speed in space spread offenses work well. Our big WRs don't really seem like those type of players.

It's one of the reasons why I believe Bell was recently getting a lot of catches this season because he kinda gets open with his foot quickness.

Our possession guys are better on the bomb plays, but it's tough to do those passes a lot of times.

I'm not defending Shea with these comments because he still needs to play better.

9 wins. We beat Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, MSU and PSU. We lose to ND and OSU. 10 wins if Justin Fields tears his ACL. OSU is Michigan this year without Fields. They'd have a QB that cannot run their offense if Fields didn't get immediate eligibility.

MSU is equal to Iowa, so we can beat them at home. PSU hasn't played anyone and Hamler is their best playmaker and is underutilized. They are not the McSorley-Barkley team of 2017. My only concern with that game is that it's on the road.

This is still a ten win team (counting the bowl game). MSU’s offense is similar to Iowa’s, so that’s a win. Penn state looked like trash against the only decent defense they faced and I think we win that one. I’m guessing we lose to Notre Dame and definitely to OSU (but stranger things have happened).

This isn't a playoff caliber team, but it can be a 10 win team and the general consensus on this board seems to be that 10 wins is good enough.

JFC, for a bunch of “Michigan Fans”, you sure do hate your team.  Here’s an idea, put down the phone or shut down the computer and go out and do something important.  This “fan” base is completely fucking miserable.

7-5 should probably be the median prediction, 6-8 wins also within the most probable range of outcomes. 9+ would mean either the defense is actually elite and not just good depending on matchups or the offense found a way to be at least P5 average. 10 wins is the ceiling.

8-4 at this point. Lose to PSU and OSU for sure. Think we go 1-1 against MSU and ND.

At this point I think we'll hold serve against Illinois, Maryland and Indiana, but we could lose to either of the latter two and I wouldn't be shocked.

Your math sucks Where exactly do you see OSU losing where they have one loss coming in and playing us for the division? This isn't Urban's team the fucks around until it loses a game. They'll come into Ann Arbor undefeated. I wouldn't mind catching a break and ruining their season like we used to when Cooper was their coach.

OSU, ND, and PSU are going be losses.

MSU is a tossup and will be a sludgefest.  I'm worried about their defense.

Illinois, Indiana, and Maryland should be wins.

So 7 wins, 8 if we pull out a sludgefest win against MSU.
