Update: Offensive Coaching Staff Overhaul
Reading more and more that Dan Enos and Greg Roman will likely be the newest additions to the Michigan coaching staff, replacing Drevno, Pep, and Frey (all of which rumored to have accepted jobs elsewhere). This basically confirms what our "insider" MGoBlog accounts have been posting throughout the day with regards to the coaching changes. In bringing in Greg Roman, it appears that Harbaugh is planning on switching to the pistol offense that he ran with Colin Kaepernick in SF. He's got the QB's for it in Patterson, McCaffrey, and Milton, as well as athletic WR's in DPJ, Black, and Collins. Let's hope it revitalizes the offense for next season.
Note* Nothing is confirmed but I highly doubt that every UM Insider who's been tracking these moves is wrong

Maybe they called that McKeon TE-as-FB fumble play as an FU to Jim Harbaugh as a defiant last act.

Just seemed like another vague "Changes are coming" thread. We need an average of 3/hour.
There's another board?

It's not one of those sites that's optimized for Internet Explorer 8, is it?

+1 for the arcane IE reference!

This must be the new one after Abe Lincoln was outed earlier.

Good catch. Cannot see the dates on the app but their presence seemed new. Was there an Orlando 1 that was banned? There have been so many trolls that I lose track.

If the playcalling duties stay the same, nothing will improve

Pretty amazing no one on here can reach a consensus on who calls the plays. People say its's Harbaugh, "no, it's Drevno!", "no, it's Drevno AND Hamilton" (which I've never heard before until today). Harbaugh even said the tight end fumble was his mistake, so why do people think he's gonna fix that after we get a new OC? Harbaugh has to either fix that himself, or give the reins to someone else entirely

It has been widely reported that Drevno is the primary play-caller. Harbaugh has himself said that he has final say in all calls, which makes sense for him to claim and to do. He can overrule or call his own play if and when he sees something, and it theoretically puts him in the crosshairs of criticism instead of one of his assistants. It's what people in executive roles do, or at the very least what they SHOULD do.
Remember the game (think it was 2005) where a late UM turnover gave I think it was MSU points before the end of the half? Remember the interview with Carr walking to the lockerroom? He was asked who made that call. He glared at the reporter, (think it was Todd Harris) and after an uncomfortable pause stated declaratively, "I did."
It's what Head Coaches do. I don't get why it's so difficult for people to grasp, except that we love to ignore counterclaims to our own personal points.

That's right...it was the end of the 1st half in 2003. What a great Michigan game that was.
Perry 51 carries for 219 yards. John Navarre was credited with 3 carries. David "Don't Call Me Francis" Underwood had 1. That was it.
Outrushed MSU 216-36, and only won by a single score b/c of the play action pass at the end of the first half.

Bo told his coaches to NOT PUNT IT TO ROCKET and they talked him into it. He took full responability for it in the PC as he should, as he did.
I guess people would rather have a Brian Kelly or Shark Humper as the HC.

When have you ever heard Harbaugh call out one of his players or assistants? The worst he gets is saying someone needs to play smarter...

Especially when we might have OL issues again. Get the ball to the outsides and throw to Black, DPJ, Collins etc. who should all be better.

even a not terribly quick Lewerke was able to add a ton to MSU's offense just by being a decent running threat
January 3rd, 2018 at 1:35 AM ^
I thought “this makes no sense” as there was no chance BP was ever pulling and keeping. I am not sure if this is due to his limitations as a runner or abject fear by the staff of having to play O’Korn if he went down.
In either case, if I could see it I am sure as hell Muschamp and staff could see it.
Would be nice to add as a facet next year.

Given the way Peters played, I'm not sure there was any "abject fear" about going with JOK.
